Such great news your plumbing issue has been fixed without any damage to the tiles. Glad that's out of the way viewtopic.php?t=78985 Re: Plantation Bronte, Ormeau Ridge QLD - Post-Handover 1485Oct 26, 2015 11:19 pm Ilaeria So the specialist plumber came today, ground out the blockage and sucked it up. Our ensuite problem has FINALLY been fixed, without having to dig up the pipe to do it. Hooray! The only thing we have left now is some silicon where the tiles were replaced for our water stops to our wet areas. Hooray! Oh nice! What a relief. Still think that other plumber should get fired. Re: Plantation Bronte, Ormeau Ridge QLD - Post-Handover 1486Oct 27, 2015 8:34 am Massive relief about the plumbing! Re: Plantation Bronte, Ormeau Ridge QLD - Post-Handover 1487Oct 27, 2015 1:14 pm Wow! I would be so mad if some scummy plumber did that to my beautiful new pipes in my beautiful new home. Glad to hear a great solution was found. Re: Plantation Bronte, Ormeau Ridge QLD - Post-Handover 1488Oct 27, 2015 2:34 pm Hooray indeed, glad to hear of your fix Jen Custom build Northern NSW viewtopic.php?f=31&t=72217 Re: Plantation Bronte, Ormeau Ridge QLD - Post-Handover 1490Oct 28, 2015 9:32 pm Thanks everyone We have been really slack Tribe, because we've had a few very busy weekends. Uni has started again for me and I have a really heavy workload with weekly assignments so Dave is going to be in charge of painting. Hopefully this rain lets up so he can get some done on Sunday. We love it for the grass but otherwise it would be nice if it eased off for the weekend! We had the same thing happen and we were worried they would have to rip up the tiles but it worked out that we didn't have to thank goodness First Build, Commodore Homes, Honeywood, Wandi. viewtopic.php?t=77170 Re: Plantation Bronte, Ormeau Ridge QLD - Post-Handover 1492Oct 28, 2015 10:36 pm I know the feeling Jen, there is so much to be done and so little time. The stinken rain isn't helping hey. Bugger about the heavy uni work load, I hope you get a good break over Xmas. Ohhh I'm jealous of your lawn I desperately want some. I hope the weather clears up too, Dave can paint and I can shovel Re: Plantation Bronte, Ormeau Ridge QLD - Post-Handover 1493Nov 09, 2015 11:21 pm I still can't believe a plumper would be so lazy, glad it's fixed now Re: Plantation Bronte, Ormeau Ridge QLD - Post-Handover 1494Dec 06, 2015 11:19 am I'm sitting here looking through my list of posts thinking hmmm... We *finally* got our PCI signed off a couple weeks ago - nearly THREE MONTHS after handover. But everything was sorted in the end. We bought some more bookshelves yesterday so we can unpack our library, once that's done I'll post some pics We're just gradually working through the remaining things. We still need a buffet unit for the dining room, and something to go in the hall. And we have a bunch of pictures we need to get framed. But we'll get there Jen (& Dave) Plantation Bronte, Ormeau Ridge, Gold Coast QLD 12/03/2015 - Commencement... 26/08/2015 - Handover! viewtopic.php?f=31&t=76446 Re: Plantation Bronte, Ormeau Ridge QLD - Post-Handover 1497Dec 07, 2015 9:29 pm Great to hear that you got all those things sorted. You have created such a lovely home. Wonderful to have shared some of that experience with you Thank you ... Yes nearly there. The prize (eyes have been glued to) is now materialising Re: Plantation Bronte, Ormeau Ridge QLD - Post-Handover 1498Dec 08, 2015 8:40 am Great news about your plumbing, really pleased for you and Dave! Re: Plantation Bronte, Ormeau Ridge QLD - Painting started 1499Jan 04, 2016 2:06 pm Ilaeria So we had our meeting. Still no PCI date he said "about a month, give or take" and we will only get 2 weeks notice, grr. We found a couple of issues - a power point in the wrong spot (which we'd told the previous SS!), but more importantly, the tiling on the bath in the main bathroom was not done how we pictured. This is what it looks like: We were expecting the dark tile to be over the whole hob (sides and top). He is happy to get it fixed, but he pointed out that if we do out the dark tiles on both sides, it will look funny in the shower, and if we only put them on the front, it will look funny with the 2 sides different and also maybe too dark with the dark cabinets. What do you guys think? More photos! Lounge: Main ensuite: Library: Paint colour: Kitchen bench: Will try to get some better ones on Tuesday when I'm there with the sparky. I am also starting to build in Ormeau Ridge Re: Plantation Bronte, Ormeau Ridge QLD - Post-Handover 1500Jan 04, 2016 2:10 pm Oh hi Hayleyyyy! What part are you in? Who are you building with? My paint colour is Ghosting Half. It's a lovely clear grey without being too cool or too brown. Everyone who sees it loves it. I think it's a very modern colour. Good luck with your build! For anyone else who hasn't given up on me, I'm still kicking! I'll have some Christmas photos soon and maybe if you're very lucky some library photos Sent from Tapatalk Jen (& Dave) Plantation Bronte, Ormeau Ridge, Gold Coast QLD 12/03/2015 - Commencement... 26/08/2015 - Handover! viewtopic.php?f=31&t=76446 I’m curious about how you went with this.
