We have signed on the dotted line with our builder and are now awaiting our Contour Survey and soil reports. We have purchased a 934m2 battleaxe block about 2 minutes from where we are currently renting in Cameron Park, Newcastle NSW.
Settlement on the block of land is about 3 weeks away now.
One of the things I really wanted in this build was to have good sized bedrooms for our girls and the house plan we have chosen certainly has that. The smaller footprint of 2 storey design helped minimise the amount of cut/fill we will need and gave us more backyard which was also important.
It also has a humungous walk-in pantry and lots of linen storage etc which is sadly lacking in our current rental. The original plan is 35 squares plus we have added a large alfresco area.
Here is the modified plans we are currently running with. These won't be exact as these are just a mockup I have done (I'm a graphic designer, certainly no draftsman!).
