Re: Springfield Lakes 2Mar 17, 2015 6:51 pm Hi, we are building in The Sanctuary also. We are part of Stage 4 release, so wont be ready till early May I think. Who are you building with? We are going with Adenbrook. Had our colours appointment this afternoon, talk about too many things to choose from! Re: Anyone Building at Springfield Lakes? 3Mar 21, 2015 5:02 pm Hi Waynesaw
I'm building in Stage 1 so am looking for the land to be ready either late this month or early April. I think it'll be some time in April. Am waiting for the soil test results to come back this week and will be able to finalise costs. When will your soil tests be done? Re: Anyone Building at Springfield Lakes? 4Mar 24, 2015 9:12 pm Hi guys, we have put a deposit on land a little bit up the road in brentwood forest. Couldn't find land we liked in SFL's but needed to stay close for the kids school. Our land wont be ready till june though Re: Anyone Building at Springfield Lakes? 5Mar 26, 2015 5:11 pm Hey Jojeke, our soil tests probably wont commence until next month I'd say.. it's all looking really good though.. I've been driving past every couple of days checking it out hahaha. My builder has quoted me for a TV Antenna, but then has said that most developments are cable based and internet/free to air tv are run through this so antenna is not required, but has then said SFL is an opticomm estate... do you have any idea what this means? do I need an antenna or not? lol Im so confused! Re: Anyone Building at Springfield Lakes? 7May 16, 2015 11:52 am Hi Guys,
Good to see a forum of people building in The Sanctuary Village. We have secured a plot in Stage 5, its going to be our first home and its very exciting. We have been informed that the land settlements will be around 27 May. We are planning to go with Gold Coast builders . Have any of you guys gone ahead with soil tests? and Waynesaw, like Jojeke mentioned we were informed that a tv antenna is not required as its opticom...know another family who lives in the Tea Trees estate and they dont have an antenna... Re: Anyone Building at Springfield Lakes? 8May 19, 2015 9:36 pm Hi guys, sorry I haven't been on here in a while... Jojeke, no I don't have a quote from opticomm... guessing I should get onto that, we have put in provisions for NBN connections or whatever it's all called.. I'm not really the tech savvy one... the husband deals with all that! We had our soil test done on Friday 8th May.. came back with a lot of weathered rock so we're just waiting for engineering reports to determine how much piering is going to be required and how much it's gonna cost... did either of you have much weathered rock in your soil tests? settlement is set for 27th May for us! Yay! oh yeah, we also got notified today by our builder that our street name has changed from Harmony Crescent to Calm Crescent.. Re: Anyone Building at Springfield Lakes? 9May 25, 2015 6:47 pm I'm building in Brentwood Forest, my test just came back the same. Waiting to see what it costs me. Tried to access our land over the weekend..only stages up to 3 have been open to public...hoping the other stages open this weekend or the next. Our soil test has come back as H1...I think its the most likely soil type in the area... Re: Anyone Building at Springfield Lakes? 12May 28, 2015 4:14 pm I went for a drive there today and fences still up from stage 4 onwards.. saw a family having a picnic in their lot hahaha JTAJ our soil test came back S-class... thankfully our builder allowed for H2-class so that should cover some of the cost of the piering we'll need for the weathered rock... still haven't had our engineering reports back though to tell us how much its gonna cost.. fingers crossed its not a ridiculous amount! Re: Anyone Building at Springfield Lakes? 13May 28, 2015 5:23 pm We WERE building with Plantation until they had a nasty email fight in front of us with Investa and stalled our surveying, refused to do a fix price build after offering it to us for $15k and then came back and said you can have fixed price for $30k. Can anyone recommend a builder? Building a modified Simonds Palisade in Brentwood Forest. Hi guys, We've gone with a builder called Visual Diversity...a Gold Coast builder. He has his display in Springfiled Lakes...unlike Plantation and Metricon you will be dealing directly with the builder...we have been advised our soil is most probably H1 and he has quoted us for the same...i have not got the reports yet. Tony - the builder, built our friend's house a few years ago and he was satisfied with the process...to be realisitic you will need to sometimes chase things up however they are good generally...we can only give a full picture once we complete this process.. Update 14/10/2015: Hi Guys, Just wanted to updated regarding our builders Visual Diversity; we are going thorough a terrible experience with Visual Diversity. There has been no change in the price they provided us so budgetwise there is no issue however communication from the builders is shocking. Visual Diversity do provide a poor service, no response to emails requesting for information and also do false marketing. I would not recommend these guys to anyone. If anyone would like more clarification or deciding to go with Visual Diversity especially at Springfield Lakes, I happy to share our experience.
