All doors, Even where has already been tiled there is a big gap, wanting to know what the gap is allowed to be between bottom and door and floor level Re: Gap between bottom of door and floor? 6Mar 12, 2015 3:13 pm How large is the gap? The reason I asked about the ducted A/C is that generally they will leave a bigger gap to allow for some air circulation when the ducted heating or cooling is on and the door is closed. If there is very little gap you can get a whistling noise as the air tries to get out of the room and back to the return air grille. With the evap cooling, I assume you would have the doors and windows open. Re: Gap between bottom of door and floor? 9Mar 12, 2015 6:37 pm 50mm seems excessive, if they are prehung doors and if nothing is cut from the bottom of the jamb, and with the jamb sitting on the slab the max gap would be 30mm. Less your floor covering. As others have said with ducted AC it's advisable to keep a considerable gap under the door so the return air can draw air easily under the door. Yep, something is definitely wrong. I reckon the frame height for the doors is wrong and this is the result, the actual doors themselves are correct at 2340mm. Dunno how they will fix it, as all the doors have the 50mm gap 2 7543 Got my stairs designed like this with 250mm Gap marked below. Gap is bec of 2 steps added between two landing area… 0 4881 |
