Absolutely annoying if you don't get your keys before Christmas, moreso knowing the 'builders holiday' nothing will be getting done in the time you're waiting for them! On the upside, Christmas celebrations 2016 at your place won't be such a rush and you can enjoy planning for it! Re: My first build South West WA - Lock Up 162Oct 19, 2015 10:41 pm Thanks Drove past this afternoon on the way to pick up small person from school and there was a car there but when I came back they were gone couldn't see what they had been doing I really wanna get inside and see my cabinets up close Mum of One South West WA Re: My first build South West WA - Lock Up 163Oct 21, 2015 8:20 pm Tiles have been delivered The manhole covers have been put in too. I emailed the CLO last night and she replied first thing this morning , really appreciate the speed. Apparently the plumber will be on site this week to connect the 'sani' basins, toilets. Tile meeting should be really soon and the painter will be in to paint the ceilings. Mum of One South West WA Re: My first build South West WA - Lock Up 164Oct 21, 2015 8:30 pm Awesome! It's really coming along now! It seems to go pretty quick from this point My topic thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=76249&start=20#p1316378 Re: My first build South West WA - Lock Up 165Oct 27, 2015 11:17 pm All the down pipes have been connected up and the gas meter has been installed. Out the back has had a bit of a clean up, no more broken tiles and rubbish. All the internal doors have been hung, all the shelves appeared to have been cut to size. Not sure what else has happened cause I can't get in Mum of One South West WA Re: My first build South West WA - Lock Up 166Oct 28, 2015 2:14 am Not long now! We need more pics! My topic thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=76249&start=20#p1316378 Re: My first build South West WA - Lock Up 167Oct 28, 2015 3:52 am Sounds like they've done quite a bit It is terrible not being able to get in isn't it? I get photos but they're all reflecting the walls outside rather than what is inside so I can't see a thing hehe Re: My first build South West WA - Lock Up 168Oct 28, 2015 9:19 pm Well here's pics of my tiles in boxes Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ And my down pipe connection Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Need to take pics of my doors Mum of One South West WA Re: My first build South West WA - Lock Up 169Oct 28, 2015 9:45 pm Yay! There was a guy there to install the exhaust fan tubes in the roof. So here is some very very pretty pictures My kitchen Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Laundry cabinet Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Ensuite Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Bathroom Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Plus I drove past tonight I think all my shelving has been installed in the linen cupboard and robes. Either they were installed today or moved out of the living area Mum of One South West WA Re: My first build South West WA - Lock Up 171Nov 03, 2015 10:23 pm Great progress Smiley! I'm jealous of the extra cupboards you have in your kitchen! My topic thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=76249&start=20#p1316378 Re: My first build South West WA - Lock Up 172Nov 05, 2015 8:21 pm Thanks ,I can't wait to move Hehe I emailed my CLO today asking when the painters or tilers would start. Of course I drove past a little while ago and the painters have been today and starting prepping. My finance broker emailed today about starting to get house insurance and I need to send off my landscape application tomorrow. I figure if I start the landscape process now, I might get it done just after handover instead of waiting. Anyone know if I can get my sides fencing done before handover? Another email to the CLO tomorrow I think. I need to find out how much I am up for to get the fencing done. Does anyone have a post handover list they are happy to share? My savings have to cover the following so far: Internal wall painting Fencing Moving company Vacant clean of my rental Electrician to instal external light fittings Mum of One South West WA Re: My first build South West WA - Lock Up 173Nov 07, 2015 12:37 am Oh wow I love my very pretty white ceilings all the internal doors and frames were painted too. Best I go to Bunnings or paint shop tomorrow to pick a colour that will go with Grey Moon. Mum of One South West WA Re: My first build South West WA - Lock Up 174Nov 07, 2015 10:30 am Exciting Smiley ! Don't forget you're allowed to take your pet dog to Bunnings now! And allow yourself at least half a day in there. Re: My first build South West WA - Lock Up 175Nov 07, 2015 8:17 pm Paint colour is such a hard decision - so we're just going to play safe seeing as we're not there to choose it anyway! Looking forward to see what you choose Re: My first build South West WA - Lock Up 176Nov 10, 2015 9:52 pm I had my tile meeting this morning The tiler tiled the kitchen splashback yesterday and was doing stuff in the bathrooms this morning. Site supervisor is still saying that PCI will be in January he said it can take up to four weeks for the shower screens once the tilers is finished. He thinks there is still 6-8 weeks work to be done so Christmas shutdown will probably happen before they get finished. I asked if I could get the side fencing done before handover and he is happy for that to happen. So my job in the next week is to organise fencing . Electrical box out the front is gone and we have a power meter. Forgot to take a picture with the zero numbers. Range hood has been installed, pretty sure the oven is done too just need the hot plate done. Mum of One South West WA Re: My first build South West WA - Taps, HWS 178Nov 20, 2015 9:46 pm I am very excited, I have a kitchen tap Plus the gas hot water system has been installed, the sand has been levelled and pavers are waiting to go down. So we need: Paving down Carpets Vinyl Blinds Fly screens Shower screens Mirrors Commissioning of power, water, gas External painting Door handles throughout Hmm what else?? Mum of One South West WA Re: My first build South West WA - Taps, HWS 180Nov 25, 2015 10:05 pm Oops forgot that and also the air conditioner. Nothing has happened this week that I can see it's so frustrating being so close and knowing Christmas is coming so fast. Mum of One South West WA Bathroom renovation will likely include a back-to-corner bath and we’re considering a freestanding tap with hand-held shower such as the picture included.
