Yeah slowly, but surely. How long does the second storey pad need to cure before they start on the second level. Re: Ben Trager Build Carine - Lower Brickwork 98% Week 8 107Apr 06, 2016 12:31 pm Our brickwork took 8.5 weeks in total. Are you 8 weeks from brickwork starting or slab down? Apparently the upper floor slab doesn't need to "cure" like the ground floor. Our upper slab was poured and a week later the frame was up! Very exciting as you go from a single storey to a two storey in a matter of days!! Thats good about the second floor not having to cure. We are very lucky as we have a great SS. Hopefully he hangs around for the entire build. Love the portico! Yeah looks bigger than I had originally thought, which I like. The front courtyard for cars is a little smaller than I thought. Still havent got a call to meet with the SS yet as we are at plate height. Re: Ben Trager - Carine - Week 10 - Upper Roof Trusses Insta 113Apr 18, 2016 1:44 pm sandy19 Detailed photos.., looks like extra large garage..neat brick work..wow Yeah did the render with Chief Architect to get a feel for how big rooms are and to also see how current and future furniture will fit in. Got the Garage widened and longer to fit my Navara; standard garages are never big enough for two standard cars. Hopefully also room to put in a little storage on a wall; probally the back wall. Re: Ben Trager - Carine - Week 10 - Upper Roof Trusses Insta 114May 10, 2016 9:42 am Two weeks and nothing done.... Think we have lost our SS..... Build was moving really good, then the scaffolding went up two weeks ago, and still no pour. Also havent had a fortnightly update in a month... Re: Ben Trager - Carine - Week 12 - Build has stalled... 115May 10, 2016 10:42 am We had a couple of weeks with nothing too and then found out our SS had quit! So that might be it..Have you called your CLO? Little disapointing that they lose so many good staff that get things done. Dont know what happened to my CLO Sam as she was on the ball and getting things done. Know we have another CLO that I had never heard of and another CLO was sending an email on her behalf? Not really personalized service. Hopefully things pick up. Re: Ben Trager - Carine - Week 12 - Build has stalled... 117May 11, 2016 10:59 am That's strange - our CLO is still Sam. Unless there are two? We got an email on Thursday. I hope she hasn't left - she is lovely! I know she did go on leave for a couple of weeks so we had a stand in CLO whilst she was away. Given the market conditions - your build should progress quickly as there are an abundance of trades. Although, it seems to all come down to the schedulers! Fingers crossed you get a smooth ride! She has been really good since the build started. Hopefully she has just been away and we havcent had her removed from our team. Still no call from SS to meet and go over the build so far. I thought we meet with the SS after the lower brickwork was completed, but I may be wrong. A friend messaged me the other day to say we had a second floor, which is great. The concrete and framework has gone up a little quicker than I thought; which is a pleasant surprise. Hopefully you are also right ak11 about the trades being available. From following some other builds it does seem Trager is getting homes built in less than 12 months now. Re: BTH - Carine - Week 20 - Render, eaves, gutters painted 119Jun 27, 2016 8:01 am Well week 20 has come and the upper floor render, eaves and gutters have been painted. Lower floor windows should be installed this week. Was originally going with double and single roller blinds for the house, but have sourced a place online that has plantation shutters delivered for approx the same price and the rollerblinds supplied and delivered. Going to have to install the plantation shutters myself though. Re: BTH - Carine - Week 20 - Render, eaves, gutters painted 120Jun 27, 2016 8:40 am Hi Aussie, your house is looking great! I'm thinking of shutters too for the front but I don't know if I would be game to install them!! I found a few places online where you put your own measurements in, what is the place you have found? We hired Darbecca to do every stage inspection, and I strongly recommend them to anyone that asks me. They were amazing. Thorough reports with photos at every stage,… 6 7125 i would not be signing anything on the day read your contract about when builder submits final invoice generally, have to meet builder within 7 days of receiving final… 1 4735 i would suggest nothing is unreasonable for PCI. we did all sorts, including checking the hot water, checking all the GPO's had power, testing that the showers were… 9 98678 |
