Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Ben Trager Homes- KDR - Week 39 - Final Stretch!!! 141Nov 27, 2016 9:53 am Week 40 saw the painter start, all data points were installed. Had a little problem with the Aircon unit as the slab they initially laid was too small. The aicon unit is now being installed against the house; just rotated sideways to the intial position. The painter is a great guy and has been there the last two weekends. Color we settled on was Kitty Grey and the first coat looks pretty good against the white door frames. Also bought an August Doorbell Cam to go with the August Lock I bought a couple of months ago. Gotta love Black Friday deals, was $199US marked down to $149. Re: Ben Trager Homes- KDR - Week 41 - Final Stretch!!! 144Jan 29, 2017 5:56 pm Well its nearly here..... PCI on the 14th February and hopefully the keys shortly after that. Cant say enough how good our SS Mason has been; guy is all over everything that has popped its head up and has had the build moving steadily and smoothly. Liason ladies have also been good for the most part; just wish we could have the one person through the build. Shuld have maybe had the keys right before Christmas, but Mason wanted everything spot on and didnt want to cut any corbner and have the PCI drag on with a list of things that need to be fixed. Ordered window coverings last week and getting plantation shutter throughout minus the laundry and living room sliding door; just alot more fuctional on the sliding doors. Went and started putting together the pool pum p shed today; 4 hrs later and still not finished due to the cordless drill motor blowing up. Also just bought a 3m x 4.5m workshop that will put together once we get the keys and grey liquid limestone down. Going with a grey liquid limestone out the front, around the pool and sides of the house. Honed concrete for the alfreso area and porch. Current hosue is busting at the seams with new stuff for the house and more to buy once we move in and have room. Have gotten lots off Facebook Marketplace as some deals are really good. Pictures since last update. Didnt get all the way around the house as the window covering guy turned up. Here is some expert advice 1. If your links are broken/removed then you can't receive help or provide assistance to others 2. As an engineer I strongly recommend you take more photos of all your builds at all stages 3. Keeping your new house build, photos, comments and professional advice (you receive on a forum) will prove a smart decision in years to come and you will be grateful, should you need to refer back to them 4.If you feel uncomfortable with putting up the photos for whatever reason...you can always ask a question and use PMs 5.
