Re: Ben Trager Build Carine 22May 26, 2015 3:12 pm Lovely selections, any idea when your slab will go down? Our build thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=70984 Re: Ben Trager Build Carine 23May 26, 2015 7:20 pm Hello neighbour great design, love toilets in their own room ![]() Re: Ben Trager Build Carine 24Jun 30, 2015 11:34 pm Any update? Our build thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=70984 Re: Ben Trager Build Carine 25Aug 27, 2015 1:41 pm Finally some progress to report. Couple of weeks ago got a call from the builder saying we need to meet with some block issues... Long story short there is a sewer easement that runs down the left hand side of the house and part of the house needs pilings; eight in total which equated to more earthworks totaling another 16k to the already 15k originally quoted. Had prestart last Thursday and that went great; Natalie who assisted us was a real gem, and answered all questions and problems we have had; wish she was our CLO as well. Prestart additions: Added 30 additional power points. Deleted all paving supplied as liquid limestone is going down after handover. Went to add an extra external tap, but after seeing the price for another one, kicked that idea in the butt. Cold Water Plumbing for fridge. Had to pay more money for restricted awning windows on the back of the house as a 8x4m pool is directly outside the alfresco area. Added extra shelf and rail to the walkin dressing room on the upper floor; 6+m of hanging space; will never fold another thing in my life! Overhead cupboard above the fridge recess to cover where the plumbing is. Upgraded to the Gloss finish for the kitchen cupboards; Laminex Espresso Ligna. Dropped the trio cornice as that was 3.5k extra; curved normal cornice will suffice. Translucent glazing to the display home monster front door. Still not sure about the upgrade of the internal doors to the DECO 3S as they are saying that only have them 25c throughout. We had already upgraded some of the doors to 28c's. Added a deadbolt below the omni tri lock. Installing an August Lock after handover. Upgrading the kitchen Essa Stone benches to 30mm. Leaving the bathrooms at 20mm. Upgraded bathroom sinks in en-suite A and B to the Liano Nexus. Upgraded to the Caroma Tasman shower head; the one that is removable. Finger grips to all of kitchen. Having Trager paint the hole house in Kitty Grey; one less thing to do after handover. Also having them install our lighting as it came in under what I had budgeted for. (picture to come) All smart wiring is being done through Hillstone and IP security cameras. (picture to come) Only thing to do after handover now is Liquid Limestone, Landscaping, tiling and carpets. Getting closer and closer ![]() Our build thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=70984 Re: Ben Trager Build Carine 30Aug 27, 2015 8:15 pm Hi Aussie141414 [/quote]Still not sure about the upgrade of the internal doors to the DECO 3S as they are saying that only have them 25c throughout. So if you really want them check with Corinthian ![]() Re: Ben Trager Build Carine 31Aug 30, 2015 3:12 pm Is Hillstone who BTH use now for smart wiring? When I did my plan you had to go through Intelligent homes or if you wanted to use someone else you had to wait until after handover to do it. Nice big house! Re: Ben Trager Build Carine 32Sep 01, 2015 9:17 am Hi Maiden, Yes Hillstone and Inteligent homes do all the smart wiring for BTH. Went with Hillstone as they offer a more competitive price than Iteligent homes as they have less overheads I believe. They have a showroom in Burswood that they are putting together. Had a final meeting with them yesterday about smart wiring and also security camera's as I want to see what my naughty puppy gets up to when I'm at work. Had some money left over from what I budgeted for and am thinking Sonos system may be making an appearance in the new home. Re: Ben Trager Build Carine 33Sep 01, 2015 11:24 am I want security cameras too but we didn't put a smart home package in so hopefully I can still add them after?? Wow Sonos, very jealous! Our build thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=70984 Re: Ben Trager Build Carine 34Sep 01, 2015 9:35 pm Oh I am jealous that you had 2 smart wiring companies to chose from, Intelligent homes were pricey but with a 2 story house I wanted the wiring done first instead of being charged more having someone try crawl through the tiny roof cavity! Re: Ben Trager Build Carine 35Sep 01, 2015 9:48 pm Thanks Archetto, Sure is a couple of windows. Would love the plantation shutters, but a little pricey. Going with double rollers through most of the house. The sonos sounds so good. Re: Ben Trager Build Carine 36Sep 01, 2015 9:59 pm Good choice on the SONOS. I have a 5 zone system (with two of the now out dated controllers). But as I'm in somebody elses house atm I'm only using two. Can't wait to have it all set up again. Using my LG-G4 to bring you this update. Re: Ben Trager Build Carine 37Sep 04, 2015 11:11 am New drama has hit once again before the build has gotten underway. Got a call the other day that supposedly our home design doesn't meet the R-Codes.
