Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Highgrove estate - Clyde North, Melbourne 82Sep 09, 2015 9:18 am I went to the estate last weekend and had a chat with Thuyen and was told that although the entrance is nearly complete, they still need to do a compliance check before they can put finishing touches and put the lands to title. She said they still expected 1&2 to be end of September and 3 to be start to mid October and then it depends on how busy the title office is. I think it would be a good idea to approach them as a group as it will carry more weight. I am sure more people are affected by site delays and it is costing everyone(in rent, builder penalties etc). There is nothing stopping them from just sending out another email next month and saying its gonna be November. Re: Highgrove estate - Clyde North, Melbourne 84Sep 09, 2015 7:51 pm Well we all went to the land visiting a few weeks ago & they just seem to brush off any issues. With the latest news now being titling October, I don't think Thuyen & Megan are on the same page. Megan is saying October & Thuyen saying she still believes it's September....are you serious you both work side by side. So some one is again telling us what we want to hear & I'm getting pretty upset (not the word I'd use) to the point I'm going to tell them where they can shove their land. This is a joke & I don't think us going as a group is going to make any difference. Bloom- we didn't even get that last update you said you got the other day & I think it's quite wrong to hear this kind of news from your neighbours. Even the land viewing day was miscordinated & we ended up waiting 45 mins to view. Maybe we should go to current affairs..... Re: Highgrove estate - Clyde North, Melbourne 86Sep 10, 2015 2:28 pm Check my earlier posts when I voiced out on behalf of the group to Thuyen and Megan the concerns with progress and title date. What do you have in mind getting out of that meeting this time? If you entered a sale contract in May 2014, then you need to be worried. The 18months contract will lapse and the developer can reissue a contract at current market value. Otherwise they can keep pushing for another months. What we can argue is, if this is a deliberate move in slowing the work so they can reissue a new contract at New rate for stage 2/3. Very unlikely it will involve those who bought stage 2 or 3. There's nothing we can do to fast track the process. I do have Graham's details from head office. I can escalate this request. This forum is informative, but if we want to get things moving, we need to streamline the communication. So PM with your details. Arcain, I do have yours. We can then cc communication between bpg and all parties. Re: Highgrove estate - Clyde North, Melbourne 87Sep 11, 2015 9:12 am Yeh I think its a good idea to have everyone in the emails so that all of us are on the same page. I am starting to get nervous as I signed with Carlisle in March and tentative build date was extended to Dec. If there is further delay, I will be cutting it too fine. Re: Highgrove estate - Clyde North, Melbourne 88Sep 18, 2015 12:58 am Well because of the delays we are having to sell my car our pre approval has lapsed (as would a lot of other people's) and they have re approved it, but they now have new lending criteria and because of it we are short on our deposit so we are now regretfully selling my car which I love so much and don't want to sell it. I'm furious!! If we'd known about the delays we could've done something earlier and not needed to sell the car, this is becoming a joke now. Re: Highgrove estate - Clyde North, Melbourne 91Sep 18, 2015 8:47 pm Can I ask who your contact is at BPG please. Re: Highgrove estate - Clyde North, Melbourne 92Sep 20, 2015 6:54 pm Sorry don't think you saw my post....who is your contact at BPG as I'd love to chat to them. Went past today & all the road markings done & road signs so don't know what could possibly be the hold up. Re: Highgrove estate - Clyde North, Melbourne 94Sep 21, 2015 2:23 pm Sorry for sounding dumb but what is the sunset clause? Re: Highgrove estate - Clyde North, Melbourne 95Sep 21, 2015 4:54 pm Wow Nov-Dec is not good. As I mentioned earlier, the worst part is there is nothing stopping them from saying February when it comes to Nov-Dec. I would rather then gave us a date that they will adhere to. Re: Highgrove estate - Clyde North, Melbourne 96Sep 22, 2015 11:05 am Guys same situation deposited for land in Grandvue Estate officer back in Aug 2014 at the time land sales people said anticipated titles release date March/April they were extending every month or 2 In Aug they finished whole work n told it will be in Sep n now its pushed to early Oct i have given it up its just become joke now when it comes to titles release Re: Highgrove estate - Clyde North, Melbourne 97Sep 22, 2015 12:22 pm Hi Lothbury212, The sunset clause is the 18 month period after you secured the land or paid the deposit. When this period finished and you still don't have the title you can exit the contract without an obligation and the seller must return your deposit. You may find this somewhere on your land contract. Re: Highgrove estate - Clyde North, Melbourne 98Sep 22, 2015 6:24 pm Arrr. Now i know what you mean but i thought it was 36 months not 18??? Re: Highgrove estate - Clyde North, Melbourne 99Sep 22, 2015 7:28 pm 18mth is from purchasers point of view & 36mnth is from vendors point of view. Vendor has 36mnth to get everything done. Re: Highgrove estate - Clyde North, Melbourne 100Sep 23, 2015 8:40 am So we just got an email from our builder. It is a change to our tender appointment as the soil and survey report are now complete. I still have to talk to them to confirm what it means but if they have done the soil tests etc, the title may be around the corner. Fingers crossed. will update you guys when I get confirmation on everything. Hi, can anyone recommend a custom home builder who can build in north east area?
