Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Highgrove estate - Clyde North, Melbourne 31Jun 08, 2015 11:26 pm Which intersection is causing the issues? I haven't seen anything about it. We've had a great experience with Carlisle so far, we built with Dennis Family last time and they were great too Gees I hope it's before Christmas!! Surely they can't string it out too long? Re: Highgrove estate - Clyde North, Melbourne 32Jun 09, 2015 7:01 pm So they have to build a new intersection on the main road (clyde rd) to get into the estate. So fingers crossed something happens soon! Re: Highgrove estate - Clyde North, Melbourne 33Jun 13, 2015 6:01 pm Received progress updates from highgrove. It's coming together nicely http://brownpropertygroup.cmail2.com/t/ ... 7C670A6B9F Stage 3 still on for September. Re: Highgrove estate - Clyde North, Melbourne 36Jul 07, 2015 11:06 am alley Hi Arcain, have you got quote for site cost from carlisle? I have spoken to carlisle and wanna go with easy living option. They have quoted me 9500 for site cost and 7000 for OH&S, while henley quoted me 10000 for site cost including OH&S. Carlisle seems to be a bit dearer on site costs given the land is pretty flat in highgrove estate. Hey Alley, Sorry for being 2 months late on the reply. I will have to check the exact details. We have our colour browse in 2 weeks and ill have a lot more details for people building with carlisle. Carlisle are a bit dearer but I have been told by almost everyone to challenge the cost which is what I plan on doing. From what I recall, the site cost were not as much. They can only finalise it after title and we have opted not to go for fixed price for the time being. Will post more updates in a few weeks. Re: Highgrove estate - Clyde North, Melbourne 37Jul 07, 2015 5:40 pm Hi Arcain, Good to hear back from you. Good luck with your color browse it's fun and you get free coffee ☺ . I have just completed mine last week. I am now waiting on call for color selection appointment. I went with fixed price btw. Re: Highgrove estate - Clyde North, Melbourne 38Jul 07, 2015 7:17 pm We had our colour appointment with Carlisle a month ago and they said we had to wait til tender to get the site costs. They told us that they are allowing for an upgraded slab but Highgrove have told us it should be a standard M class which will bring the costs down a lot. We've had to delay our tender as there's no point doing it until they can get a soil sample which they aren't able to do yet Re: Highgrove estate - Clyde North, Melbourne 39Jul 07, 2015 8:30 pm Hmm you got me thinking. I went with fixed site cost to be on the safe side. I have spoken to different builders and the quote i got was around 17k that includes site cost, estate requirements and Council requirements. Re: Highgrove estate - Clyde North, Melbourne 40Jul 12, 2015 4:14 pm We are also building in Highgrove. I was at the land office yesterday and they mentioned construction of the intersection is beginning on Monday and will take 5 weeks. Also, Linda is no longer working at Highgrove.
