Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Mar 02, 2015 3:04 pm Hi, I have recently purchased a lot in the Highgrove estate in Clyde north in the south easy of Melbourne. I want to see if there any any more people who have purchased lots there and are on homeone. I want to make this thread to invite anyone else who has bought into Highgrove to get together with your future neighbors so that if things need to be put forward to developers etc. it can be done together with others rather than having to do it alone. Strength in numbers and all that. This thread can also be used by potential future Highgrovers to ask any questions they might have from people who have already bought a lot in the estate and make it easier to gather information needed. More details on the estate can be found at http://www.highgrove.com.au/ Cheers, Re: Highgrove estate - Clyde North, Melbourne 2Mar 15, 2015 7:49 am Hi there neighbour, Yes we have also purchased land in the Highgrove estate back in June last year & are waiting anxiously for the land to title!!! It's good to see someone else on this site that is in the same estate, I love this site & a lot of posts have helped us in our adventure. http://www.Buildingourcarlislehome.blogspot.com.au Re: Highgrove estate - Clyde North, Melbourne 3Mar 18, 2015 2:06 pm Oh wow, I had given up hope of finding anyone in Highgrove. Good to see there are others active in this community. We need a few more and then we can have a thriving community here. Highgrove estate - Clyde North, Melbourne 4Mar 27, 2015 8:21 am For those who have purchased at Highgrove and intend to make future purchase at Highgrove through the Brown Property Group, can we please communicate via PM. I would like to share my experience, because I feel we are all being told the same story but I'm apprehensive on how it's going to end. I would like to regroup offline to get some clarity from the developer on when the land will be titled as there has been no communication on how land title application and development are progressing. Re: Highgrove estate - Clyde North, Melbourne 5Apr 01, 2015 5:18 pm Hi neighbors, hope your are doing well. I have purchased land with bpg last October and I was told settlement date will be this June. I rang their highgrove office and spoke to lynda and she said its pushed back to august. Re: Highgrove estate - Clyde North, Melbourne 7Apr 01, 2015 5:47 pm Hi there Alley Just wondering what stage land you purchased as that will determine when the land settles? Welcome to Highgrove! Re: Highgrove estate - Clyde North, Melbourne 9Apr 03, 2015 7:06 am Yeah we are in Lothbury drive also but we are stage 2. Linda told us should be titling in May/June. We were pretty upset about the name change of the street & we only found out through our house builder.....no one at highgrove was even going to tell us! http://www.Buildingourcarlislehome.blogspot.com.au Re: Highgrove estate - Clyde North, Melbourne 10Apr 04, 2015 1:17 pm Ok mine is in stage 3. Yes I am disappointed too with street name but i guess we gotta live with it. Also My land is east facing and made it quite difficult for me to select the home design. I have asked Linda if I can change it with another lot with North facing but she said it will be very difficult and will cost me a lot of money. Being a first home buyer I don't have much experience with all this. I am still not 100% sure if I am making the right decisions. Re: Highgrove estate - Clyde North, Melbourne 13Apr 19, 2015 7:39 am Welcome to Highgrove! We went & saw Linda last weekend & she told us that Stage 2 is now looking at titling in July...OMG it keeps on extending. She also told us that because there are so many new land developments in Casey, the council is snowballed & out of control. Also because of this Vic Roads has not approved the new intersection. They've known for a long time about this new intersection & I can't under why they didn't do something about it earlier. It's just so frustrating that this just keeps getting pushed forward & feels like we'll never be in our house. We bought our land last June & Highgrove was selling well before this!!!! Anyway good luck with your adventure. Re: Highgrove estate - Clyde North, Melbourne 14Apr 19, 2015 10:49 am Have a look at 'the avenue at casey' which is also built by bpg and they delayed work there for months due to discovery of aboriginal artifacts on the land. Now vicroads is to be blamed. Re: Highgrove estate - Clyde North, Melbourne 15May 04, 2015 3:24 pm An update I found on their website. https://brownpropertygroup.createsend.c ... temp=False Looks like all stages are delayed by 1 more month Re: Highgrove estate - Clyde North, Melbourne 16May 08, 2015 9:18 am Yeah I saw that already a few weeks ago, Vic roads haven't authorised the intersection yet....really!! How are you going with your journey! Cheers Re: Highgrove estate - Clyde North, Melbourne 17May 08, 2015 9:27 am We are taking it easy atm. We have spoken with Carlisle and have set a start date for December. Still havent signed contracts etc, will do it closer to the time of the title. Just hoping for some concrete news so that we can formally approach the banks etc. The worst part is waiting Re: Highgrove estate - Clyde North, Melbourne 18May 08, 2015 9:48 am Hi Arcain, have you got quote for site cost from carlisle? I have spoken to carlisle and wanna go with easy living option. They have quoted me 9500 for site cost and 7000 for OH&S, while henley quoted me 10000 for site cost including OH&S. Carlisle seems to be a bit dearer on site costs given the land is pretty flat in highgrove estate. Hi, can anyone recommend a custom home builder who can build in north east area?
