We have had the letterbox design re modified to be 4 courses higher and not quite as long - it has come in just under $3000 now, which we are happy with and will probably go ahead with. That pizza oven sounds tempting too Jelbell - something I have always wanted to do! Re: Burns Beach Build with Dale Alcock - PreStart Done! 33Apr 25, 2015 7:31 pm We were allowed to change from a 2 fixed panel/1 sliding door to a 2 sliding stacker doors/1 fixed panel at pre start, there was no change to the overall window side though. Would yours have meant putting a bigger window/door in? We got a DIY woodfire oven kit from a place in freo, and will be doing the same thing (maybe a bigger one) in our new home. Defiantly worth it and is great for entertaining!!! Re: Burns Beach Build with Dale Alcock - We Have A Sign! 35Apr 27, 2015 2:20 pm So, I drove past our block today and....we have a sign!! Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Very quick progression since we only sign building contracts around 4 weeks ago, and we haven't settled on the block yet! Did anyone else see anything change on their site this early in the progress or are we just progressing incredibly quickly??? Nonetheless - happy to see progress, even if it is in the form of a cardboard sign Re: Burns Beach Build with Dale Alcock - We Have A Sign! 36Apr 27, 2015 9:22 pm Not that quick Herbie!!! I feel excited for you!! Know how that sign feels! Looks like they are wanting to get straight into it!! So exciting when there is something new on the block! Re: Burns Beach Build with Dale Alcock - We Have A Sign! 37May 06, 2015 6:11 pm OK - looking like pre start is going to be finalised tomorrow and our land has also settled on Monday meaning things are really motoring along! We have changed our kitchen colours slightly, now just doing the Gesso Lini Sheen where the bar stools will sit on the front of the kitchen bench. Due to the timber floors we didn't want a huge amount of contrasting timber look - we are now doing all underbench cupboards in classic white sheen too. After a lot of back and forth we are now taking the wardrobe fitout out of the pre start contract as pricing at first glance seemed very comparable to Lifestyle Wardrobes WA, but when we factored in the Dales didn't do soft closing drawers, and that we had no option to change drawer and cupboard handles we have gone back to Lifestyle who have been great and are very well prices like-for-like! Re: Burns Beach Build with Dale Alcock - We Have A Sign! 38May 06, 2015 8:53 pm Sounds like everything is falling into place very nicely for you! That feature where the bar stools are will look really nice Didn't realise that about DA customs! Didn't even think to ask those questions! Everyone that goes through Lifestyle seems very happy! Sounds like everything will be happening for you on site really soon! Re: Burns Beach Build with Dale Alcock - We Have A Sign! 39May 24, 2015 9:27 pm We now have a tap!!!!! And also, final drawings are back for the house. We are stoked with everything, however we have a problem. We are ubsure where to place our TV points in the living room. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ The builder has placed them central in between the wall and the sliding door, however we are unsure if this will look weird with the games room door there, and will look out of alignment? Below is an overall view of the house. It is the living room TV points and conduit that we are discussing. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ We are unsure due to not knowing exact furniture requirements for the room yet, and we also don't want it to look out of whack with the dining room table etc if we place it incorrectly. Feedback and advice would be more welcomed! Re: Burns Beach Build with Dale Alcock - We have a tap! And 40May 25, 2015 9:10 pm Congratulations on the tap!! How exciting, you will be seeing some movement on the block real soon! I think I would ask to have the points central between the door and the sliders, rather than the wall and the sliders. You might find it will look better for aesthetic reasons, and will make it easier for you to position your couch if you do choose to put one directly facing that wall Render your bathroom walls, two opinions versus the one, makes you wonder. 3 6067 The spacing of the studs looks pretty large especially for a load bearing wall. 3 11124 Nope, only on the inside, I've literally has my ears to the brick outside and can't hear anything. I can sort of 'reset' the noise by pressing firmly on the studs. This… 10 11796 |
