Hi All,
Hoping for some advice. So i have a double garage at the front (6.1 x 6.2) and triple at the rear (9 x 7).
The Site Sup sends me a message noting that I was going with Hardiflex, to be honest I did not know the difference. He said aquacheck will look much nicer as it will be a finished ceiling like the internal ceilings. I believe that Hardiflex will have a PVC strip every 2.4 meters.
· Extra over to upgrade both Garage ceilings to aqua check with 75mm cove cornice will be $1645
· Extra over to upgrade both Garage ceilings to aqua check with CSR trio cornice (to match house) will be $2327
I also asked about the eaves and was told that all builds use Hardiflex for the eaves is because its 4.5mm thick which slots neatly into the back of the fascia.
The question is worth spending the extra upgrading to aqua check. I realise functionality it will be the same. I could probably save a little by going with Cove cornice is the rear and trio in the front. Price wise I dont think there is wiggle room given we have started.
Any practical advice, I am not sure whether I have seen garages with cornices before. The internal walls will be fully rendered so I guess it will be in keeping with the house.
Give me your thoughts pls.
Thanks in advance.
Mark
