Have a look at iseekblinds they were the cheapest for plantations when I was researching, about $290 sqm Our build thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=70984 Re: Whiteman Edge - Blueprint Homes - Wet Area Tiling! 125Aug 24, 2015 4:46 pm archetto We are doing plantation shutters to the front 4 windows only, and then the other windows will be venetians or roller blinds the ones you can see out of but people can't see in, and sheer curtains to the back sliding door/large window. I might order some material samples for free. Re: Whiteman Edge - Blueprint Homes - Wet Area Tiling! 126Aug 29, 2015 2:17 pm Woohoo for wet area tiling.. I think we're in the same positions! Tiling were completed last week. Since than we had cornice guys returned to finish up cornice in ensuite and kitchen. Hot water system installed and all plumbing & taps completed too. Below some pics taken by hubby when he went for his lunch time drive. Our ensuite which we we are totally in love with. Installer unable to install the rain shower. Re: Whiteman Edge - Blueprint Homes - Wet Area Tiling! 128Sep 01, 2015 10:49 pm All our boundary fences have been installed as they were requested by our neighbours. Not sure if anyone had this issue. We found that the fence installer had not followed the boundary guideline. As per our site plan we should have at least 100 cm on the right hand side of the house. When we measured the distance between our house and fence is only 92cm. The installer have basically short change us 8cm of our land. The fencing is not align and its leaning towards our house. Should we go back to the fencing company and ask them to redo it? Fencing is part of our land package. Absolutely! ++++++++++++ New Generation Homes 'Odyssey' at Whiteman Edge Our Build thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=76967&start=20 Re: Whiteman Edge-Blueprint Homes: Final Electrical work 130Sep 03, 2015 5:43 pm We did go back to fencing contractor & raised the boundary issue. They agreed to come back to site to measure & even willing to meet up with us to resolve the discrepancy. Hopefully we will see them in the next few days. As our land is already small, we can't afford to lose even 5-10cm of the boundary
Now house-update, today electrician is onsite installing all the switches, power points, baton & appliances. Hubby saw the oven is already installed. Roof insulation batt has also been delivered so we guess that's next on the list. As we are coming to the end of the build, it's possibly time for the 'list'. Below are what left to be done: 1. Kitchen glass splashback 2. Final paintings to doors & touch-ups to cornice 3. Front door to be install & painted 4. Gas cook-top & range hood 5. Garage door 6. Driveway & alfresco paving 7. Roof insulation 8. Shower Screens & mirrors 9. Flysreens 10. Site & Internal clean-up 11. Door handles 12. Wardrobe sliding mirrors Re: Whiteman Edge-Blueprint Homes: Final Electrical work 131Sep 03, 2015 6:38 pm Hello Im a fellow whiteman edger great quiet place to live! Regarding the fencing we lost about 15cm along 1 side of the house as we have the limestone blocks down one side and instead of placing the fence on the edge where the boundary is they put the fence in the middle of the limestone block....seems to be the way they have done the whole estate but very annoying when you really need that tiny bit extra just to swing a washing line up and down! Let us know how you go with them! House is looking great and cant be too much longer now Re: Whiteman Edge-Blueprint Homes: Final Electrical work 133Sep 03, 2015 11:27 pm Wow Lady_Zu, your ensuite looks like it's from a nice hotel! Very luxurious! The list you have is quite short too! I cant imagine if its 15cm hehe. Its really a bummer they do it that way on retaining wall. I will update once we hear back from fencing contractor. Keeping fingers cross they will ammend it. By the way whereabouts of whiteman edge are u at? We can't wait for the big park to be ready. Re: Whiteman Edge-Blueprint Homes: Final Electrical work 137Sep 04, 2015 3:11 pm Jazza_ Arent most site pegs removed. Would it need to be re surveyed? Hi Jazza, before the fencing were up we did find the pegs were still there. I guess they just have to measure based on our site plan as we have to provide them when requesting for fencing. Re: Whiteman Edge-Blueprint Homes: Final Electrical work 138Sep 04, 2015 3:13 pm Hootie Wow Lady_Zu, your ensuite looks like it's from a nice hotel! Very luxurious! The list you have is quite short too! Here's to the list being chipped at soon Thanks Hootie. That's what we were aiming for - resort/hotel look. Hopefully the list will deplete soon. Your place is coming along very nicely. Great to see you've been given PCI date. Not long to go for u too!
