Thanks alibaba11 for the advise. I did go back to blueprint asking the question if we could raise the ceiling and cost of it. They came back advising its too late in the stage to make changes to the ceiling as it will affect the roof lining and structure. Furthermore will have to go through the whole engineering and appropriate approval process. Now im kicking myself for not thinking about it earlier in the planning stage. We will just have to live with it.
As for yourself its good to ask for all the costing before going for your prestart. At least it wont ve a surprise. As for us we got our sales rep to include everything we wanted before signing up. We ended up with $40k+ variation cost before signing. At least all big ticket items are already costed. We than add another $10k prestart allowance to be use during prestart and that was also used quickly. Let me know if you need costing for any items that i could assist.
