Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Feb 24, 2015 8:43 am We are building a two storey with Eden Brae. We like the following for external colours. Interested to see if anyone else has used these or similar colors and what they turned out like. Roof - Monier Horizon Sambuca Bricks - Chocolatta with off white ironed mortar Gutters/Fascia/Down pipes - Woodland grey Front door and garage - Dune Moroka (balcony) - colour similar to Streamwood (dulux? ) Thanks Re: Anyone used Horizon Sambuca and Chocolatta bricks togeth 3Mar 01, 2015 3:50 pm Bumping. Has anyone used either of these colours ? Interested to see what they look like established. Thanks 😊 Re: Anyone used Horizon Sambuca and Chocolatta bricks togeth 4Mar 01, 2015 4:15 pm I wish I could help with your smiling face and smiling eyes.. We are getting Horizon Barramundi roof with monument fascia and gutters but our roof isn't on yet to give you photos. Do you think Sambuca roof is too dark for a woodland grey gutter? I would be interested to see Hi a2b Lol I'm not sure what is going on with those smiley faces. here is a pic of those colours together. It could be too much - PGH said that Barramundi is their most popular roof tile colour and I know monument is used a lot. The monument is more of a darker blue isn't it? Re: Anyone used Horizon Sambuca and Chocolatta bricks togeth 7Mar 01, 2015 5:10 pm If you read the technical write up on Monument it has a hint of purple. But to the naked eye it looks dark grey. Dumb question. How do you upload photos? I will post my house pic so far as we have nickel flash bricks with monument gutters .. but no roof Re: Anyone used Horizon Sambuca and Chocolatta bricks togeth 8Mar 01, 2015 5:20 pm Thanks a2b that would be great. When you are replying, next to the part where you write there is a + sign. Click on that and it will bring up another screen which has a camera picture. We are considering that colour as well, do have concerns that it's painted metallic though, not right through. Re: Anyone used Horizon Sambuca and Chocolatta bricks togeth 11Mar 01, 2015 6:01 pm I didn't have the + so had to go a round about way but hey presto! We have monument windows as well. Yeah Barramundi is probably a little lighter than what we were aiming for too and plus it will fade but we were worried Sambuca was too dark.. We did flush mortar for our brick because all the colour is on the face of the brick. Re: Anyone used Horizon Sambuca and Chocolatta bricks togeth 13Mar 01, 2015 8:08 pm Thanks so much a2b, I think we are going to go for this brick too. Re: Anyone used Horizon Sambuca and Chocolatta bricks togeth 14Mar 01, 2015 8:39 pm Thanks a2b thank you for the pictures. Glad you worked it out! I reckon the monument will work with the barramundi. Because we are going the sambuca we need to be careful that we don't have too many dark colours.
