Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Fairwater in Blacktown by Australand 81May 03, 2015 11:01 pm @Jackyljj - good to see another neighbor in here. Thanks for providing the prices. They have indeed increased by 45k in price and smaller in lot size (in comparison to the same house and lot that I got). Re: Fairwater in Blacktown by Australand 83May 04, 2015 10:58 pm @Jappy - Homeone blog doesn't allow to upload any pictures but you can use http://tinypic.com where you should be able to upload price list and share the link of "IMG" here from the website. There could be pitfalls like what happens to our deposit if the Builder applies for Bankrupcy? Re: Fairwater in Blacktown by Australand 88May 07, 2015 8:01 pm @Binca - this is a good question to ask on Saturday. To those who have bought from the current collection, what are your questions for the solicitor on Saturday? To be honest, I haven't finished reading the contract, not even half way. The terms used there feels too technical to me. Re: Fairwater in Blacktown by Australand 89May 07, 2015 10:25 pm @Binca - It's nearly impossible for Australand to declare Bankruptcy simply because they own the Land and you can see in below article how profitable is the company including the parent company Frasers Centrepoint.
Australand is one of the leading diversified property groups, with a market capitalisation of approximately $2.5 billion. Fairwater is only 400 Million project so i don't think their is anything to worry about. The FairWater sales centre itself costed just over $1.3M and no company would invest this much if they have any issues with investment or cash flow. http://www.abc.net.au/news/2014-07-21/a ... om/5611378 Re: Fairwater in Blacktown by Australand 90May 08, 2015 9:45 am @Gavina: We spoke to our solicitor yesterday, he says this is a fairly good contract- was quite relieved of a lot of questions we had. Best to talk to your solicitor he/she should explain everything as you can't read and understand all the technical terms for a first home buyer. Solicitor mentioned we will get back our deposit if the developer liquidates(bit of relief there) @Rjz: Thanks so much for the info Feels better Good to ask the solicitor to ask their solicitor to include the inclusions the mentioned in the brochure to be put into the contract.(ex dishwasher, rangehood, stovetop, bathroom fittings,air-conditioning etc.) Re: Fairwater in Blacktown by Australand 91May 08, 2015 2:41 pm Hi guys My solicitor just told me over the phone that the contract looks very standard and nothing to worry about. He asked me to sign the contract tomorrow and would only see me to explain the contract in details when he received the signed copy from the vendor's solicitor. He further added that if there is anything wrong with the contract, I still can rescind the contract during the cooling off period. In other words, he does not want to waste his time to see me twice to talk about the contract. Re: Fairwater in Blacktown by Australand 92May 08, 2015 4:48 pm Hi Guys, even my solicitor haven't found anything missing or bad in the draft contract. But he asked me to confirm about the community title to check if community association involves owners of this release alone or is it accounted for whole project (all 800 homes) Re: Fairwater in Blacktown by Australand 93May 08, 2015 5:03 pm @Vimo- good reminder. My contract says that my property ( classified as townhouse in sales information and not subject to any management fee) is torrens title Your one is classified 'c' in the sales price list and was told need to pay some management fee ( $250 to 350). So I really wonder what title is your property being stated in your contract? Re: Fairwater in Blacktown by Australand 94May 08, 2015 7:13 pm @Jappy, mine is Community title one as like 15 other properties in 10b release. Will confirm with them tomorrow if its just these 16 lot owners constitute community association for this release or is it going to be one community association for the whole Fairwater project going forward. Re: Fairwater in Blacktown by Australand 95May 08, 2015 8:27 pm @Vimo, I would have thought that your community title home is only associated with other'C' home owners in 10 a and b, ie the greenbank collection to share the maintenance fee of the common car court. But like to know what they tell you tomorrow. Re: Fairwater in Blacktown by Australand 98May 10, 2015 10:47 am Congrats to everyone that signed the contract yesterday. The Display homes seem to be almost finished Can't wait to jump in and see them!
