Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Mar 08, 2016 12:05 pm Hi everyone, I am a brand-new member here, so need you guys expert/useful advise on anything to do with building a new home! Our land (approx 700sq) has a slight-moderate slop down from front to back. At this stage, we are still researching on the builder. These are my short-list (ordered by my preference) - Country Lane Home - Highview Home - Boutique Homes - Romeo Home - Porter Davis Our specification is: 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (3 toilets), 2 living areas, 1 study, WIR in all bedrooms (optional), and classic façade (therefore Country Land and Highview are my preferred builders). We do not mind if it has to be built into a split-level house (to accommodate for the slope). Our budget is 400k-500k. I would be so grateful if any of you, who has direct experienced dealing/building with these builders, can share your experience/thoughts/recommendation (either through this topic or directly to me via PM). Many Thanks!! Re: Builder recommendation for slight-moderate slope block 2Mar 08, 2016 2:52 pm We used Plantation - we found them good overall. Most of the bigger builders would be able to accommodate (no pun intended) moderate slope. Split level can be nice - or garage under if a lot - but it can add $s to the bill sometimes. Don't they have another name down there ? Can't remember - but someone else might.
