And below are the fingerprint knobs for the linen cupboards (also for wardrobes but we are having mirrored sliding - not exact product but similar). Re: My blog - building a Lincoln 35 - Oran Park NSW 42Apr 24, 2015 1:46 pm We've chosen Winter Ice for all walls with crisp white skirting, cornices, ceilings and archs.
The staircase handrail will be a dark timber colour. So for the main living areas this will be the cornices. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ And these will be the cornices for the rest of the house. Re: My blog - building a Lincoln 35 - Oran Park NSW 44Apr 24, 2015 1:59 pm I'll post some pics later of our external colour selections and what other upgrades we've chosen Re: My blog - building a Lincoln 35 - Oran Park NSW 45Apr 27, 2015 9:57 am [quote="Lincoln35_mckinley"]Again not a very good photo but we've chosen Winter Ice for all walls with crisp white skirting, cornices, ceilings and archs. The black strip in that picture will be the color of the stair balustrade. It's a dark timber colour - those timber balustrades are included as standard. Hi Lincoln35_mckinley Thank you for sharing the photos. Really liked your selection. Do you have any photos for the staircase? We wants to upgrade the doors, can you please tell me how you got 19 doors. Is it including the robe doors too? $100per door it's too much. I'll check the doors and get back to you. Re: My blog - building a Lincoln 35 - Oran Park NSW 47Apr 27, 2015 7:10 pm Hi again - there were actually more than 19 doors and they did include the wardrobe doors. The cheapest upgrade option was the decor range from $100. I was surprised that the flush doors were the only option but we can't justify paying over $2k for doors. I'll also try to find the plans for our Lincoln so you can see what changes we've made. Have you done any of those as I want to compare the price. Hope they didn't charge me more. Also did you select you front door? Preparation is the key I think and will help you to stay on track with you budget too. Prior to our appointment I made a list of potential upgrades and with the exception of a couple of things stuck to my guns Re: My blog - building a Lincoln 35 - Oran Park NSW 51Apr 29, 2015 5:04 pm As promised here is the ground floor plan showing alterations we made.
1. The study guest bedroom, powder room and front lounge will be my inlaws accommodation. a) added cavity slider to lounge doorway b) created doorway between lounge and bedroom and added cavity slider c) added shower to powder room d) swapped toilet and shower to insert cavity slider and close off existing doorway. e) added 2x3m slab outside sliding door 2. Stairs, laundry , mudroom a) added under stair storage b) added toilet to laundry so we'd have a downstairs toilet (Note: I'll also be adding a light in the mudroom (there isn't one) and also under the stairs (if that's possible), am also throwing around the idea of adding a light in the hallway somewhere between the entry and doorway to kitchen etc). 3. Back of the house living area a) stacker doors were included in our package b) upgraded niche to kitchen in tender (with $1500 allowance to upgrade stone) c) added cavity slider to media room (this will be our downstairs living, the rest is shared). d) extended alfresco by approx 1.4m (cost approx $6k in the tender as they had to add extra supporting beams). e) added stacker door to dining room (Note, this was changed after we'd made selections and cost us $1500) Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: My blog - building a Lincoln 35 - Oran Park NSW 52Apr 29, 2015 5:11 pm And first floor: 1. Bedroom one and retreat a) added cavity slider to ensuite (Note: because we added the cavity slider there is no where suitable for a towel rail. We got a towel ring in lieu) 2. Beds 2, 3 and 4 a) swapped wardrobes in beds 3 and 4. I did this as the plan is for our two girls to have bedrooms two and three. I didn't like how the wardrobe was essentially behind the door. So I had them swapped at no cost. Also I didn't really like the height of the 3rd bedroom window but I didn't think to change it. How much did they charge to do that? We chose the eden 3 door. Similar to the one in this picture. Also, what facade are you getting?
