Love the dark toned wood. I didn't realise you had the kitchen recess, that's a bit snazzy. It's those details and those like all your colonial doors and the ceiling and high windows that make your house stand out above the rest! All the best for moving day Our Custom Dale Alcock build in the Village at Wellard https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=78620 Re: Dale Alcock Stoneleigh build Millbridge- flooring 144Jul 31, 2016 10:51 pm Looked back over your photos. Sigh!!! Looks lovely Re: Dale Alcock Stoneleigh build Millbridge- flooring 145Jul 31, 2016 11:15 pm Such a gorgeous house! I keep hoping our kitchen will turn out as beautiful as yours has. You must be so excited to start living there. Love the floors Re: Dale Alcock Stoneleigh build Millbridge- flooring 148Aug 12, 2016 6:27 pm kait-e Made it down to take some pictures of the tiles and flooring we have chosen http://i1303.photobucket.com/albums/ag152/k-england/IMG_7823_zpsvonb5rsj.jpg Ensuite, Bathroom, Laundry and Powder room tiling http://i1303.photobucket.com/albums/ag152/k-england/IMG_7825_zpsvwkxfqht.jpg Kitchen backsplash, grout colour, stone bench tops, cupboard door colour- in a shaker style vinyl wrapped door. Wall paint through out the house and laminate flooring to everywhere but bedrooms http://i1303.photobucket.com/albums/ag152/k-england/IMG_7828_zpsbnwwye8w.jpg All our choices together- carpets will just be to bedrooms All the wall tiles will be laid as brick bond. Was a bit unsure if I should make the bathroom wall tiles gloss like the kitchen ones and if the laminate bench tops to bathrooms and laundry would look ok as a matt instead of gloss like the stone bench top in the kitchen. I'm very indecisive if you all haven't already figured out! Hi Kait-e Can I ask what colour laminate flooring are u using and the brand please. I'm looking at one that's a little darker than urs. Things have been crazy over the last month and a half of settling in! We have been working on the landscaping first so we can get the kids outside coming up to summer first thing to happen was gates and we've just had the retaining wall at the front of the house completed Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Next job is site levelling and another clean up on Wednesday so we can get the estates landscaper out to hopefully do the reticulation for the whole front and backyard and then get grass down! Thank you so much everyone. This all makes a lot of sense. I guess when you talk to a builder who butters up everything to look very polished, you get to start believing… 7 17618 1000000% definitely add insulation. I have in my home and it makes a big difference minimising sound transfer. Insulation is pretty cheap and definitely worth it 2 6208 Engineering timber is certainly a less fuss option, times cheaper to supply and install and better withstands humidity. 1 15923 |
