How exciting to be able to see your home flying up I have heard a few inconsistencies too with them at the moment, I feel for you and it would be very upsetting to know you could have had what you originally wanted. I wonder if they will allow some variations given they have told you incorrect information? Re: Dale Alcock Stoneleigh build Millbridge- Brick work star 62Feb 20, 2016 10:50 am All our internal walls were finished thursday and they are expecting to have all the brickwork done by this coming wednesday It was so nice to walk through the house and be able to feel what the house will be like instead of just looking at it on plans and trying to imagine how big rooms will be. We went down for a visit today and were told the brickies will be finished this afternoon with the roof timbers being delivered on Monday next week, he also said we have a pretty big team working on the roof so it should only take about a week Re: Dale Alcock Stoneleigh build Millbridge- Brick work star 68Feb 23, 2016 8:24 pm That is fantastic news, great that everything is happening so quickly! My husband went and spoke to them the other day and said they weren't very polite and spoke to him like he was an idiot (he was only asking when they finish each day so we can come move our bricks while no one is on site) so that was a bit disappointing. Most of the work was done on Thursday and Friday I think they might of been waiting for a crane as we have huge steel beams in the garage, activity room and down the centre of the raked ceiling. Render was also completed out the front on Tuesday. Have had a few interesting things happen as well... We have 2 pipes directly in front of the larder door and one is supposed to be for a rain water pipe Our render was finished past the point we specified on the house plans Our bedroom window was taken out and taken apart then the same one has been put back together and back into place Anyway some pictures... Your house is going up so quickly you must be pleased with the progress so far, you'll be moving in before you know it. My house (also with Dale Alcock in Millbridge) should be in construction phase this week and I really hope it moves along as fast as yours. The raked ceiling is going to look fantastic, it will make the living space feel so big and open. I love seeing all the photos of the house progress, please keep them coming Hope you continue to enjoy the construction of the home. Thanks W2T we are loving it even with out the ceiling on, we were down yesterday enjoying the nice breeze going through End of week 2 on the roof and all roof trusses are now finished and the gutters and down pipes have been delivered. I think our colorbond will be delivered either tomorrow or tuesday. (hopefully tomorrow!) We received a progress email saying our plumbers and electrictions come this week to chase the internal walls and then the plasterer's sand will start arriving with the plaster starting shortly after that. picture of completed roof trusses Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: Dale Alcock Stoneleigh build Millbridge- awaiting colorb 75Mar 14, 2016 11:13 am It looks fantastic. This all makes a lot of sense. I guess when you talk to a builder who butters up everything to look very polished, you get to start believing… 7 17602 1000000% definitely add insulation. I have in my home and it makes a big difference minimising sound transfer. Insulation is pretty cheap and definitely worth it 2 6199 Engineering timber is certainly a less fuss option, times cheaper to supply and install and better withstands humidity. 1 15918 |
