Love what you have done with the floor plan, you have used all the space so well Can't wait to see that fireplace Hope you enjoyed prestart too! Re: Dale Alcock Stoneleigh build in Millbridge 22Sep 04, 2015 3:46 pm Hi kait-e, we went for warm white throughout and am happy with our choice. Re: Dale Alcock Stoneleigh build in Millbridge 23Sep 04, 2015 4:55 pm Yep we did warm as well I find cool very harsh. Re: Dale Alcock Stoneleigh build in Millbridge 24Sep 04, 2015 8:11 pm Did anyone building the Stoneleigh view the jason bi-fold window without the bench top extending to the alfresco? In pre start we were told to go and view the window at the showroom to make sure we don't want to extend the bench as she thinks it can look fairly bad. We plan on making a timber bench and built in BBQ off there so not sure if that will change how it looks in the future Re: Dale Alcock Stoneleigh build in Millbridge 25Sep 04, 2015 8:23 pm Not sure about not extending the bench...it might not look like it flows. I'll be interested to see how it looks. I'm following your build as we are just starting our journey with Dale Alcock too. Re: Dale Alcock Stoneleigh build in Millbridge 26Sep 07, 2015 7:40 pm Made it down to take some pictures of the tiles and flooring we have chosen Ensuite, Bathroom, Laundry and Powder room tiling Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Kitchen backsplash, grout colour, stone bench tops, cupboard door colour- in a shaker style vinyl wrapped door. Wall paint through out the house and laminate flooring to everywhere but bedrooms Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ All our choices together- carpets will just be to bedrooms All the wall tiles will be laid as brick bond. Was a bit unsure if I should make the bathroom wall tiles gloss like the kitchen ones and if the laminate bench tops to bathrooms and laundry would look ok as a matt instead of gloss like the stone bench top in the kitchen. I'm very indecisive if you all haven't already figured out! Re: Dale Alcock Stoneleigh build in Millbridge 28Sep 08, 2015 1:32 pm Love all your tile selections, beautiful! Re: Dale Alcock Stoneleigh build in Millbridge 29Nov 06, 2015 9:51 pm We received our final plans today unfortunately still waiting on our house to sell! We had to take the fireplace out as the logistics started getting a bit hard to work with, we still have all the provisions there and will be getting it and the cabinetry built after handover. The only other changes (I think) we made were splitting the meter box and fuse box with the fuse box in our garage, we extended the ensuite and bathroom bench tops but couldn't change our ensuite, upgraded to a bigger bath, changed our ensuite shower screen to two glass panels, changed our bifold window to a servery window (though they have put the wrong one in the plans) and changed our front door to a single wider door with two side windows Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: Dale Alcock Stoneleigh build in Millbridge 30Nov 26, 2015 3:53 pm It's looking fantastic kait-e. Hope you can get started on your build soon We've come to a position now that we are able to keep our house and build so we've decided to go down that path as the person who had an offer on our house was stuffing us around a lot and we were losing too much money for it to be worth it anymore! We have been waiting for our formal letter of finance since monday, have been promised it everyday since then and unfortunately dale alcock closed it offices yesterday so they won't receive it until they open again next year We are very mad at our bank! Re: Dale Alcock Stoneleigh build in Millbridge 35Jan 02, 2016 10:53 am Hi Kait-e I'm new to this forum and stumbled upon you blog while searching for tips and advice before we start our build with DAH. Your plans look great and it's fantastic to see you can begin the build right now, I hope the construction goes smooth and you enjoy building your new house. We are beginning to build the Archipelago with DAH in Millbridge so will follow your posts with great interest. Thank you providing the information on your build, it is very helpful to people like myself building for the first time and I hope to post the details of my experience building in the future. This all makes a lot of sense. I guess when you talk to a builder who butters up everything to look very polished, you get to start believing… 7 17518 1000000% definitely add insulation. I have in my home and it makes a big difference minimising sound transfer. Insulation is pretty cheap and definitely worth it 2 6174 Engineering timber is certainly a less fuss option, times cheaper to supply and install and better withstands humidity. 1 15887 |
