Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jun 19, 2008 9:32 pm Regular posters to this forum may remember that I created a blog containing pictures of the render applied to our Henley home.
Your comments/opinions were used to assist me persuade Henley to attmpt to rectify the render work promptly. Well, I've posted updated pics of the render on the blog at: http://henleyrender.blogspot.com/ The render is now looking much better but there are still some WTF spots. Re: H3nley Render - the results 2Jun 19, 2008 9:39 pm Hey Louie, i was wondering how it all went.
It looks much better, except for those few bits... Have you spoken with your S/S or C/M about them? I'm sure they will come back and rectify the issue... Re: H3nley Render - the results 3Jun 19, 2008 9:46 pm Hi P,
I agree that it does look much better. They worked on the render on Thursday and then moved us on to Handover on Monday. I dont know who our Handover people are yet (I do have a contact number though). It seems that the S/S is no longer relevant and that we have a handover supervisor. We'll be pointing out the minor issues as soon as we know who to direct them to Re: H3nley Render - the results 4Jun 19, 2008 10:05 pm Louie, are you getting a pre-handover inspection?
Our place has been passed to the Handover dept yeserday and Luke is our contact. But each area has different people. We had Kevin come through our place today and our S/S, C/M were on-site at the same time with us for 2 hours as Kevin went through everything. Our C/M is still arranging things on-site to speed things up for us... It might be worth your while getting someone like Kevin in to do an inspection (if you haven't arranged it already?). Also ask to speak with your C/M or push to find out who your Handover contact is......i know they are busy, we were told the same, but push them if you don't get any answers.... Let us know how you go?? Re: H3nley Render - the results 5Jun 20, 2008 8:07 am I've tried contacting Kevin to utilise his services (even dropping the HomeOne forum in my messages) but have not received any call back from him. Considering that I'm in the North-West it might be too much of a hassle for him.
In one of my messages, I stated that I understood that he might be too busy but that I would appreciate it if he could refer me to someone else capable to do the job...no response back unfortunately. The only other reputable inspection service that I'm aware of is Archicentre and they are now used by Henley to do their "independent" inspections. I've lost too much confidence in the trade to pick anyone else. Can anyone recommend any other reputable quallity inspection services? Three options 1 Ask the liquidator 2 Find another PD customer and ask the source of their report 3 Pay for new report 3 12336 Hi Alex, Thanks for the reply again. I had a chat with the builder, he said he will use primer, then hydrotec which comes with colour and sealer as well. A Renderer I… 12 18072 I am looking for someone who might have tackled a similar issue as me. I have a few rendered interior walls, the surface condition is hardly flat. I can see all the bumps… 0 7964 |
