Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Building with Homes by CMA 2Jul 30, 2015 11:04 am I have decided that I will start a thread to share my story. We bought an 400 sqm block north of Brisbane. Settled earlier this year. We choose a custom design from Homes by CMA. http://i1381.photobucket.com/albums/ah209/Tanjim_Hossain/facade_zpsbbkiafvr.png Have signed our NHP, soil tests done. Have started our color slection. Now for the difficult job of choosing colours. I like your open plan design! We're also thinking of building with Homes by CMA, but I can't find any reviews or any feedback online. So your post is very helpful, although I'd assume you're close to finish or done? Must be exciting! We're thinking to build with them and honestly, their standard inclusions are too good to be true. Can you please share how was/is your building experience with them? Maybe include some pics as well, if you don't mind Thank you. Re: Building with Homes by CMA 6Oct 26, 2015 12:00 pm Hi Coreescarlett We are at fixing stage and getting close to completion. I will post some photos when we can access the house this week. So far we are happy with Homes by CMA. I engaged a building inspector to inspect the frames and he told me that he was very satisfied with the work, except few minor issues. Their inclusions are great. Have you seen their display home in Griffin? 95% of the inclusings comes as standard. Our block shape was bit tricky and the only way to do was custom build which other builders won't do. Make sure you deal with Anthony. He is the general manager there and very helpful. We decided to build with them after getting recommendation from our neighbours. We are happy with them. Let me know if you need more information. Re: Building with Homes by CMA 7Oct 26, 2015 3:52 pm Hi tanjimh Thanks so much for replying. I wasn't sure if this thread is still active It's awesome that you are so close to completion. Must be very exciting! Yes, we haven't heard about them before we went to their display home in Griffin and thought that their inclusions were great. Thanks for your insights. Look forward to seeing some photos of your build Re: Building with Homes by CMA 8Nov 15, 2015 7:55 am Hi tanjimh, How is your build going? do you have some more pictures? We have decided to build with CMA, we are dealing directly with Anthony and are doing a full custom design. We have only just selected our inclusions and Anthony is starting on the concept plan. Their inclusions seem fantastic and their price for the build on a 2 storey house was better than anyone elses we looked at, we even upgraded quiet a few things and the price is still good compared to others. Time will tell how they go, I haven't found any bad reviews yet, so hopefully this helps others out. Will keep you updated as we progress. Re: Building with Homes by CMA 9Nov 15, 2015 4:01 pm Hi TAHE, out build has been progressing well and practical completion is booked in on 25th November. So far, so good. We also added some extra on top of CMA's standard inclusion. Here are some pictures that I took last week. Your house looks amazing. I like your big windows and the kitchen looks awesome and spacious Excellent choices! Can't wait to see more photos if you have some more. We didn't end up going with CMA because we had to put in a deposit to see our custom-build house plan and they weren't too flexible with our foundational work. Anthony was helpful though! Re: Custom Build at Brisbane North with Homes by CMA 13Nov 16, 2015 4:46 pm Yes we have! Thanks tanjimh We initially wanted to go with GJ Gardner but they increased some of their prices before contract (not happy!) so we decided to go ahead with Bold. We might start a thread, we'll see... 25th Nov is so close! Btw TAHE was right, the tiling to the roof in your bathrooms looks very nice. Re: Custom Build at Brisbane North with Homes by CMA 14Nov 16, 2015 4:50 pm We build our last house with Bold, they were very good and were great to deal with for modifications. We dealt with Ilse, shes now at Fitzgibbon. I cant see you having any issues with them Re: Custom Build at Brisbane North with Homes by CMA 15Nov 16, 2015 7:04 pm Tanjimh, how do you like the Casper white colour? I was planning on doing full strength at our place but thought it was more of a stone grey from the sample we tried. Your photos make it look more creamy? Re: Custom Build at Brisbane North with Homes by CMA 16Nov 16, 2015 7:13 pm Hi bJhf, I thought the same. We used Casper white qtr to get a grey tone but it turned to be creamy. The site supervisor told me that there will another coat that needs to be applied before they finish. I am hoping that the color will change. Re: Custom Build at Brisbane North with Homes by CMA 17Nov 16, 2015 7:37 pm Is there a chance they used the wrong colour? I think your house looks lovely but isn't it annoying when colours don't turn out how you imagine? I've been hunting for a nice grey with no blue tinge for ages and thought I'd found it in Casper white. Re: Custom Build at Brisbane North with Homes by CMA 18Nov 17, 2015 3:03 pm TAHE We build our last house with Bold, they were very good and were great to deal with for modifications.
