Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Feb 13, 2015 4:27 pm Hi guys. It's our first time building, we are thinking of building with homegroup as we like one of there designs! Has anyone one built with them? And anything we need to look out for, or know etc. any help is appreciated Thank heaps Re: First time building 2Feb 16, 2015 11:51 pm Hey guys. We have nearly finished our build with HomegroupWA. Not the most pleasant experience but not an extremely terrible one either. In all honesty at this stage i probably wouldnt recommend them unless your willing to wait a really long time for your build. We first approached them back in july 2013 and we are a still waiting for our house to be finished. There is quite a few threads on here. Some positive and some negative. I must admit our sales rep and all the office ladies were lovely. Our first site supervisor got the sack and i cant say im overly keen on our new one either. Good luck with your build Re: First time building 3Feb 17, 2015 12:00 am I'm another saying that you should check them out and make sure you have 20months to put your life on hold and lose your savings in extra rent and costs. I'm sorry, but HGWA have been scrubbed from my Christmas Card list. House seems to be built well, supervisor and client liaison have been great but boy does this company know how to drag it out. For the record, like Bel and Joe above, we signed 2013 too, still four weeks off keys. We owned our block and had no finance issues ... We locked the plan in within a fortnight, all they had to do was build the house and they have struggled to do that in the time the indicated it would take. No delays this end, all their doing. Don't believe the six months admin, six months spiel ... All bollocks. Feel free to read al 60+ pages of my build, it's like a Mills and Boon book! Re: First time building 4Feb 17, 2015 5:38 pm There are a few Perth builders who advertise guaranteed timeframes, obviously with some conditions attached, but the constant them with Home Group seems to be no sense of urgency, lack of liaison and clients unhappy with delays well past expected finish times. I know people who had close to a year in admin because things simply weren't prioritised by the builder. Their pricing is good and their homes appear to be of reasonable quality however it appears you need to add at least 6-9 months on to what they tell you. Can anyone give me any onfo on New Homes WA? Good or bad, hopefully good just need to know if my choice was good or not? Thanks ❤️ 0 8943 So it looks like we finally have some movement on site!
