I have used Bretts Architectural as well and they do a high quality product. I'm in Sydney, my builder uses G James, I've never heard of them till recently, and I thought they were predominately a QLD company. Their Sydney show room is shut for renovations so can't have a good look at them besides what I see on their website. Re: Custom small lot - Brisbane. Internal works... 89Jun 20, 2015 11:31 pm They available in Melbourne? Re: Custom small lot - Brisbane. Internal works... 90Jun 20, 2015 11:53 pm They do nice frames ... I'd have no hesitation in using them (esp the commercial range). Chris - got your email. I prob won't get to have a proper look till Monday though so I'll get back to you then! Re: Custom small lot - Brisbane. Internal works... 93Jun 21, 2015 4:06 am Glad you checked in on my thread. I've been missing all your action! Somehow I missed the subscribed notices and I just assumed you had a hold up. Ha, ha! You've well and truly overtaken my build. The profile of the house looks excellent. Love the roof line. Nice open spaces inside. I think you are going to out-do yourself. We've been living with just an outdoor lounge suit for the past 2 years instead of a dining set and we haven't missed having a table. Outdoor food is often lap food and it's nice to be comfortable, lounging with drinks. We are going to stick with this in our new house. I love your big art. http://www.housebythewater.wordpress.com From blank block to new home in Mandurah, Western Australia. viewtopic.php?f=31&t=65564 Re: Custom small lot - Brisbane. Internal works... 94Jun 24, 2015 9:55 am Thanks heaps Joh! I think the casual outdoor setting will be really good too.. hoping it works as well in reality as it does in our head This thing has scaffold all over it now to complete all the external cladding and to build the front fold down roof section. On the inside - about half of the insulation went in yesterday (but I didn't get any pics). The only pic update I have is - ducted vac: http://i1232.photobucket.com/albums/ff371/travispegg/MA2/ducted%20vac_zpsty0ltgkx.jpg Plan for the rest of this week is to finish off the brickwork, insulation, AC ducting and mayyyybbbbeee if it's all enclosed get the pre-floor down . Re: Custom small lot - Brisbane. Internal works... 95Jun 29, 2015 2:12 pm Went over to the house on the weekend.. and as it's all covered in scaffold there is nothing really to get too excited about with the outside! The guys have pretty much finished the board cladding - with just the metal clad left to do. It's going to be tricky to do though, as the sheets are 7m long - & they aren't sure how they are going to get them in place yes :S. I did take a few pics of the inside though. The ensuite now has had it's plumbing go in - wall taps on the right and a bath will go to the left. http://i1232.photobucket.com/albums/ff371/travispegg/MA2/ensuite1_zpsfqz0zatz.jpg WIR's! His on the left - Her's on the right http://i1232.photobucket.com/albums/ff371/travispegg/MA2/WIR1_zpsqkc1oa6z.jpg Spare bedroom up the front of the house. This one doesn't have a balcony so is a bit bigger than the others (4m*4m). http://i1232.photobucket.com/albums/ff371/travispegg/MA2/bedroom2_zpsp15pcp4x.jpg And a bit of a rough pic of the upstairs living area. The plaster sheeting has been delivered (which the guys were meant to start getting up last Wednesday) - hooray for delays. http://i1232.photobucket.com/albums/ff371/travispegg/MA2/living1_zpslbx63iir.jpg The timber cladding for the front of the house was also delivered on Friday - so hopefully I can get some pics of that in place this week! I feel like progress (at least photo progress) on this one has been a bit slow.. hopefully once the inside starts coming together I'll be able to post a bit more for you guys (if you're interested!). Re: Custom small lot - Brisbane. Internal works... 96Jun 29, 2015 9:38 pm Of course we are interested!! Internal works... 99Jul 03, 2015 10:20 am thanks guys! Glad that it has a bit of interest Exciting day for this place... got to see the timber clad start to go on this morning! Really happy with the colour and the slight variation between the boards. Will make a big impact poking out from under the fold down roof I think. http://i1232.photobucket.com/albums/ff371/travispegg/MA2/timberclad3_zpswxcxmcps.jpg http://i1232.photobucket.com/albums/ff371/travispegg/MA2/timberclad2_zpspdf9bovr.jpg http://i1232.photobucket.com/albums/ff371/travispegg/MA2/timberclad1_zpsfptnely7.jpg Re: Custom small lot - Brisbane.
