Aussie141414 - we only got the one wall in both bathrooms with the feature tile full height! They wanted to charge us a rediculous amount to get it all full height. No thanks... We thought it may look funny with just the one wall, but when we saw it in person it looks amazing. We didn't think the feature tile would look that good considering you go off one tile when you are selecting, can't wait to see our black ensuite tile all finished Re: Ben Trager Build - Annies Landing (Ellenbrook) 405Feb 13, 2016 12:17 pm [quote="S-Jade"]Only thing is when the tiler cut the tiles we have all little chips in them it looks horrible /quote] Once the grout goes in it makes a massive difference don't despair yet! Elected to spend the money on LED downlighting all through the house; and outside. Re: Ben Trager Build - Annies Landing (Ellenbrook) 408Feb 14, 2016 9:24 am Mandy + Steve I specifically told the site supervisor I was worried about chips etc, he said he had his best tiler on the job which worries me, because I think it could of been done better. But will wait until the grout is finished. Thanks Archetto. Aussie141414 good idea you can always get the tiling done later and not pay their rediculous mark up Re: Ben Trager Build - Annies Landing (Ellenbrook) 409Feb 28, 2016 11:02 pm Just a little update: Tiling is now complete Appliances have been delivered Final plumbing installations have commenced Will upload photos of tiling Still to do: Fix cornices and install around our oh cupboard Install basin and mixer to bathroom Install mixer to ensuite Install bath/shower mixers to both bathrooms Shower screens Silicone to bathrooms Garage grano Garage door Electrical finals Change outdoor taps Take out the plasterboard which has closed off our under stair storage Door handles Paint front door Fix front render Paint front render Paint eaves and facias Install appliances Fix chipped walls and other internal damage Fly screens Final clean I have probably missed things but thats off the top of my head. We are building with Redink and so far enjoying the progress. We are building single story and only just locked up few days ago. I really like your bath room tiles all the way up. I wish I have thought about that for ours. Do you remember how much extra they charged you for full height tiling if you don't mind me asking? Hi teresa.hsh, Glad to hear yours is pleasant also! It was between 2-3k from memory! Was way to expensive for us to do all the walls. Hence why one is only full height tiled in each bathroom. ak11 Yay! You will be having handover before you know it! Is BT doing your floors / painting? Or are you doing it after handover? ak11 - We are doing it ourselves, they wanted to charge us a fortune. I'm all about saving money where I can MrsJM How did your bathroom tiles look after grout? All your concerns re chipping put to rest? MrsJM - All the grouting has done is put white grout into where the cracks were. You can still see it, but there's nothing that can be done about it I suppose!
