We saw the 2 Amalfis under construction (both are near handover by the looks). We had a walk around to get a feel for what a near finished product looks like. Must say, given they are both very different in colour, they looked fantastic. Have you had any more progress with your site? There's actually three - the first one is finished and they have moved in by looks of it, that one is the most similar to my colours I think (dark bricks, but I've got white roof!) The workmanship looks great too, so exciting to see those ones go up and at fast pace! Mine is ready to go, finance went unconditional last week, just waiting on the building permits to come through, so shouldn't be long to I have a fence and a mainvue sign up! That is the one thing that takes it's time. Ours dragged on for what felt like ages. Oh wow, didn't know there was a 3rd Amalfi there. Might cruise past again some time soon. We noticed that one of the Amalfis had our same down pipe colour, as well as garage door colour and front pillar render colour. Was great to see this in the flesh. One of the Amalfis had the second grand alfresco option. Huge!!! We did notice a ton of Fairhaven homes being constructed. Can't wait til you join us and have your sign up out the front. We'll update our blog tonight witht he pics of the works done this week. Fingers crossed have some movement from council this week, then I can settle on the home loan and get started! Count down is on! So no looking at 6 weeks before site start. Frustrating My Build Journey - Mainvue Amalfi 530 in South Eastern Melbourne https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=75810&p=1353804&hilit=mainvue+amalfi#p1353804 Re: My MainVue Amalfi 530 28Jun 14, 2015 11:34 am That's a bit of a let down Chloea. I would have thought that MainVue would have been all over that for you. Have you made any changes to your plans since contract? If not, there is no reason why your drawings should be delayed. My understanding of the building permit was that was one of the first things that your builder applies for on your behalf. I really hope they get some legs on your site, and you aren't delayed by 6 weeks. Our fingers are crossed for you. Building our MainVue Amalfi 530 - viewtopic.php?f=31&t=75694 Re: My MainVue Amalfi 530 29Jun 14, 2015 11:41 am Thanks guys. Heard back this week, my council application for a boundary being 5cm too close was approved. Waiting on my final drawings still - no changes made after contracts 4 weeks ago. Also waiting on developer approval which they aapplied for this week. Once they come through they can apply for permits which can take 30 days or so but shouldn't, she said most come back in a week. But she said that once permit is back takes about a month to hand over to construction ?!?! How long after permits did your start? They are saying end of July (was end of May, then end of June before that) grrr My Build Journey - Mainvue Amalfi 530 in South Eastern Melbourne https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=75810&p=1353804&hilit=mainvue+amalfi#p1353804 Re: My MainVue Amalfi 530 30Jun 14, 2015 12:10 pm My permit was finalised at the end of May and slab being poured this week. Developer approval probably took the longest because they wanted a few changes, council approval was fairly quick. Fingers crossed it happens quicker than what they say. Re: My MainVue Amalfi 530 31Jun 14, 2015 12:43 pm Our permit was issued at the end of April. Our slab is being poured on Tuesday this week. (mlp18 we really may be going up on the exact same timeline) For us it was a 6 week turn around from permit to land being cut and levelled. In saying that, our main point of delay was time taken with the bank. Our council approval took next to no time at all. Hopefully you aren't delayed that long. Applied for Developer approval........ roof colour rejected Apparently Surf Mist is too reflective and is no longer an accepted colour. Back to drawing board, going to have a look at some options this arvo, probably leaning towards Monument but will have to relook at my render etc. Hoping to have it resubmitted today fingers crossed - at least they are quick to respond - only applied for approval yesterday. In selecting your new roof colour can I suggest that you compare the four available colours for your evap cooling roof unit. In the standard inclusion (Brivis Promina Series) there are 4 colours: terracotta, rivergum (green), charcoal and beige. Our roof colour is Jasper and the closest colour to that is chocolate (very close match), but this is only available by upgrade to the Brivis Contour Series. After much deliberation and frustration due to the increased costs, we were able to strike a deal with MainVue to upgrade to the Contour Series for $350. The reason I make this point is that nowhere during colours appointments did the consultant make us aware of the evap cooling limitations. You certainly don't want an ugly looking roof unit sticking out like "you know whats". So frustrating, was hoping to have had started this week I didn't get evaporative cooling, putting in split systems post handover!! So that's probably why I hadn't heard of that selection!!!! Ps your slab looks great! Re: My MainVue Amalfi 530 35Jun 25, 2015 9:53 pm Ah... Ok! Good idea on the splits. We wanted reverse cycle refrigerated air con, but wow wee that is an insane price. So evap cooling it is, with a split for probably the bedroom post handover. Thanks, we're pretty excited to see our slab too. Yours won't be too far away. So developer approval was received on Wednesday and permit application went in same day and already back! So much for 4 weeks, just over 24hours to get it back. Mainvue are hoping to have my ordering compete and handover to construction by end of next week! How long did it take after construction handover to starting? My Build Journey - Mainvue Amalfi 530 in South Eastern Melbourne https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=75810&p=1353804&hilit=mainvue+amalfi#p1353804 Re: My MainVue Amalfi 530 37Jul 03, 2015 5:49 pm Great news for you. That is a quick turnaround. Once our site was handed over to construction, we had builders on site less than two weeks later who cut and levelled the land. The slab came a week after that. They move fast once all the paperwork is dealt with. Building our MainVue Amalfi 530 - viewtopic.php?f=31&t=75694 Re: My MainVue Amalfi 530 39Jul 04, 2015 3:01 pm Oh awesome that makes me happy! So should be on site in 2-3 weeks then Feels like its taken forever to get to this point! Finally can actually start getting excited now! Also does the base price include 2 timber stacker doors to the alfresco or just 1? Love your flooring choice by the way, are you doing your floor through Mainvue or doing it after handover? Any advice on how to ensure the kit home granny flat that im thinking of buying will get council approval. The kit home companys wont release plans without a deposit and… 0 7369 It seems very clear to me that your contract states that a security account does NOT need to be established so the answer to the builder is NO. If in doubt find a contract… 1 8604 2 31500 |
