Building the Sahara Q3 with Henley Re: Building the Emporio ER432 with MainVue / Henley 68Mar 04, 2015 7:54 pm Hi Guys, That's the Folwer Seido which is an upgrade with both Henley and Mainvue. The one in the Sassid's earlier photo is one of the standard options with Mainvue only. It does look similar to the Folwer Seido, however, it is slightly different. ------------------------------------------- Build Thread - Mainvue Emporio ER430 KDR https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=76790&p=1332227&hilit=mainvue#p1332227 Re: Building the Emporio ER432 with MainVue / Henley 69Mar 04, 2015 10:31 pm MichaelQ Hi Guys, That's the Folwer Seido which is an upgrade with both Henley and Mainvue. Does MainVue have a separate showroom? That certainly wasn't in the Cosham we went to Building the Sahara Q3 with Henley Re: Building the Emporio ER432 with MainVue / Henley 70Mar 05, 2015 2:18 pm Cosham is used for both Henley and Mainvue. Mainvue and Henley have some standard inclusions that differ, however, believe the upgrades are the same. You're right though, they dont have that standard toilet on display. ------------------------------------------- Build Thread - Mainvue Emporio ER430 KDR https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=76790&p=1332227&hilit=mainvue#p1332227 Building the Emporio ER432 with MainVue / Henley 71Mar 05, 2015 4:01 pm I received a call from my site supervisor today, we were expecting the framing to commence on the 13th. This has now been delayed until the 17th - the framers are currently completing another Henley house in our street, then they are off to two others, then will be working on ours. Here are some pics of our foundations to pass the time Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ sassid ...building the Emporio with MainVue/Henley BLOG: http://thewaldorfproject.blogspot.com.au/ HOMEONE THREAD : https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=75753 Building the Emporio ER432 with MainVue / Henley 72Mar 05, 2015 4:30 pm Call Call Carpet Call... (and don't go into a shop!) I finally dropped by my local Carpet Call to get a sample of our carpet, well just because I can! The sales person at Carpet Call said they don't give out samples, that I needed to go to the builder, or can borrow samples if I needed to take to furniture places or wherever, which I found strange - I could not even buy a sample! So that was a waste of a trip. I got home and called Carpet Call head office where I was transferred to the MainVue representative, who was more than happy to send out a sample no problems, which I should receive by the end of the week, too easy. Anyhou, here is a photo of our carpet selection, we have gone with Lasting Impressions "Autumn" which is Cat 3. We also upgraded to the top underlay as it is the underlay that makes the carpet! Our last house was a dark Aubergine (eggplant) colour which showed up all the light bits of dirt, so we have gone a mid-range shade of brown, not too light (which shows the stains) and not too dark (which shows all the dirt on the top of the carpet). My Supervisor is on the ball, received a phone call from him 5 minutes after noticing the framers are on site to update me on what is happening. They have started earlier than scheduled, working on a couple of houses at once. Should be on site for two days, at the other house for a couple of days and then back again - I can't wait to see the house take shape! Was wondering if you could share with me how much does the upgrades cost with them? I was initially was going to build with PD as well but pulled out as the charge through the roof for anything that's not standard. Many thx, LEon G. Re: Building the Emporio ER432 with MainVue / Henley 78Mar 16, 2015 7:03 pm Frame started already, yaaaay. They are going to take 4 days to finish it. Henley has good supervisors. We are on third one in single build but transition was pretty seamless and communication so far is fantastic. My only tip here is to keep asking questions from SS. They miss out to tell you about lot of small stuff either done or booked in advance. Also take plenty of photos Re: Building the Emporio ER432 with MainVue / Henley 79Mar 16, 2015 9:10 pm mirz Frame started already, yaaaay. They are going to take 4 days to finish it. I was initially was going to build with PD as well but pulled out as the charge through the roof for anything that's not standard. Many thx, LEon G. Hi Leon, Thanks for your message. You are probably better off going to a Henley or MainVue display. They can give you the upgrade prices for the homes, they have booklets for the houses and they cover all standard upgrades to the floorplan, kitchen and bathroom cabinet configurations, facades etc. , and they are all house specific. At Cosham Interiors they have a booklet with upgrade prices for tiling and carpets and for upgrading categories of other interior fittings and finishes (at Cosham we stayed with mostly Cat 1, so the only real upgrade there was the carpet (cat 3) and we got the second top electrical pack. The one thing I found about Henley is that their pricing is very accurate from the sales stage. Of course if you have non-standard changes then they need to send for prices, but most of these you can get at the initial sales stage. The main areas where we found them more expensive than Porter Davis is for the facades. But there is a better choice of standard cat 1 items at their selection centre. If there was anything specific you needed a price on please PM me and I will be happy to oblige. What house were you looking at building with PD, I would suggest find the floor plans of the houses you like with Henley and MainVue and then obtain the booklets for those houses, then you can figure out the costs according the upgrades/changes you want to make. It really depends on what upgrades/changes to the plans you make as to how expensive it can get, and everyone has different priorities with regards to what upgrades and changes they make. The other area which will really impact price is the site costs, but these will be fairly comparable amongst builders. I will say that I found the Henley prices for upgrades more reasonable, and the standard inclusions (MainVue) were definitely superior than what was offered at PD. The price slash promotion (I think it has now ended) also made it a much better deal. I have really not had any issues with MainVue at all, their customer service has been fantastic so far. I hope this is of assistance, and as I said feel free to PM me for some specific pricing. sassid ...building the Emporio with MainVue/Henley BLOG: http://thewaldorfproject.blogspot.com.au/ HOMEONE THREAD : https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=75753 Hi, If you give a set of criteria as to what means 'good' to you, it'll give others prompts to respond.
