Much more attractive than the portapotty we have parked out the front of our place. Re: Custom home design Sydney - narrow block, tiling, floorb 602Jul 14, 2016 8:10 am Wow! First time I click on your link.... Your place is coming together beautifully.....plus side of going with your own builder you van customise everything! Well done... I love all the upgrades and options. Very contemporary looking. Re: Custom home design Sydney - narrow block, tiling, floorb 604Jul 14, 2016 9:22 am BL35ED Not sure if I went past the floorplan...how big is your place? Any floorplan pics? No floor plans posted, I think we're about 160m2 up and down stairs, it feels like owner builder, since I still need to decide on most things and do my triple research to make sure it's done right. viewtopic.php?f=31&t=75739&p=1299716#p1299716 Re: Custom home design Sydney - narrow block, tiling, floorb 605Jul 14, 2016 9:44 pm We had another week of no progress and then progress again! Tiler said cos they're 750x750 - they're a bit bowed or in his exact word 'banana', so we need a 2mm spacer not 1.5mm. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Hallway arrangement, there are some repeated patterns, so I told the tiler to mix it all up, I don't want 2 of the same tiles next to each other. Went to locksmith today to pick their brains about locks for the front door, I wanted key alike so wanted to know what brand I need to get. While I was there he tried to sell me this electric door lock. I'm so old school still very hesitant about the whole people knowing my password etc. My daughter thought it was a great idea. I need to do more research Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ viewtopic.php?f=31&t=75739&p=1299716#p1299716 Re: Custom home design Sydney - narrow block, tiling, floorb 606Jul 14, 2016 11:08 pm Great progress with the tiling. They look great!! Your floor tiles are massive! Re: Custom home design Sydney - narrow block, tiling, floorb 607Jul 15, 2016 3:58 am This article is a bit old but it does have some great insights into electronic locks. http://www.gizmodo.com.au/2014/11/the-c ... art-locks/ If you still go with keys I like Kaba. Double sided security keys and they pretty much have cylinders for any brand door hardware. Sent from an iPhone please excuse the ridiculous spell correcting software. Re: Custom home design Sydney - narrow block, tiling, floorb 610Jul 16, 2016 8:36 am Good day Building4my3tots, very informative blog that you have it here and it's helping me to get my head around on what to expect during custom build. If you don't mind would you be able to pm me details of your architect and builder to have initial discussions about my home. Wish you that all goes well with your rest of the build. Thanks a lot Re: Custom home design Sydney - narrow block, tiling, floorb 611Jul 16, 2016 8:22 pm sm_boxhill Good day Building4my3tots, very informative blog that you have it here and it's helping me to get my head around on what to expect during custom build.
