Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Building With Redink in Lesmurdie 2Feb 06, 2015 1:33 pm Hi BronS, We're building with Redink too and are just moving into the scheduling phase. Hopefully not too much longer before we see some real progress. We're building on 5 acres so our total site costs are way higher than normal but the Redink proportion of that comes to something like $18.5k due to our soil type and the footings that are needed. The report said it was classified S with footing detail C3. Do you know what design etc you are going with? Re: Building With Redink in Lesmurdie 3Feb 07, 2015 12:10 am Hi Nikkis2000 Where abouts are you? We've been classified as a rural build due to being on 3/4 acre, and will be putting aside 100K for site, quote has been 85K due to having a fair bit of granite around. The joys of a hills build We plan to get a quote from someone local for sites too, for comparison and because we'll need some retaining so may as well get it all done at once. Oh and were building a one off version of a few of their designs, loosely based on their lifestyle plan, bt we've rotated it to a farmhouse style and moved entry etc Re: Building With Redink in Lesmurdie 4Feb 07, 2015 12:36 am We're in Lower Chittering so it's not quite as bad on the rocks, although we had a big pile that had been cleared already that we had to move to make room for the garage! From what I've heard of others in your area you are probably in the right ball park $$ wise! I'd always support going local, it keeps your costs down a bit and supports your community. Have you got a plan you can post? Most of us here love a good picture!! Re: Building With Redink in Lesmurdie 7Mar 12, 2015 5:16 am Hi BronS - what a lovely plan! Posting to follow your build Re: Building With Redink in Lesmurdie 8Mar 12, 2015 10:40 am Oh I somehow missed you posting your plan after all that!! It looks great - love the shape of the living area. How are things progressing? Re: Building With Redink in Lesmurdie 9Dec 08, 2015 11:24 pm Wow - a huge house - looks amazing. Site works done Sept, Slab done Oct, and it zoomed through until Roof complete Dec 18. Feeling a bit Gipped that we could have gotten away without a 'verandah' as the posts aren't' really holding anything out front, it's just eaves. Might have to add a bullnose later down the track The rest of the house looks great.
