There are a large amount of areas that have been scratched; over painted/stained and a large amount of areas have render smears. The manufacturing process that gives COLORBOND steel its colour and gloss retention properties means that the surface weathers differently to air drying paint. After weathering, the areas which have been touched up will look different and can leave a blotchy look. Damaged areas will need to be replaced. I refer the builder to the BCA, Part 3.12.3.3 and Part 3.12.3.5 which calls for all gaps around windows and doors to be sealed. AS 2047 also calls for the sealing of window to stop air penetration. This out of square skirting originates from the bowed plaster wall that it is fixed to, and as a result both the plaster wall and skirting will require reworking to straight. This door is classed as an external door in the BCA as it separates an air-conditioned environment (Class 1) with the external environment (Class 10). The builder may claim that this is not required due to the energy report not stipulating its requirement.
