Browse Forums Building A New House Re: KDRB Metricon Glendale 38 (Sydney) - Fixing stage 1241Dec 03, 2015 5:00 pm I sat with Metricon yesterday to sign off on variations. I have thought of a few things that we have missed that I would like to add in there, can that still be done or not. We haven't signed proper contract, just initial variations? Also, how does the timeline work from here? He did explain it but i got a bit confused with what happened when lol. My brain was fried by the end! He said 4-6 weeks from now til colours? and then however long from then till proper contract? Then submit to developer and then to council? Thanks Re: KDRB Metricon Glendale 38 (Sydney) - Fixing stage 1242Dec 04, 2015 6:49 am Orpheus boysenberry2014 Orpheus
LOL you have an amazing budget Orph! Yes I do not care anymore Just concerned re side fencing too - we need to also replace our neighbours colorbond door which was broken by the dem0lisher! Just trying to line up the trades - prefer landscaper do the fencing too! BIG one for us is side gates - we have a huge side access. Will need this ASAP! We would prefer the landscape costs half as much @ Orph build thread: viewtopic.php?t=78328 Dream Metricon Glendale 38 (Sydney)! Hi Orpheus, do you engage a landscaper to design your frontyard and backyard? Or do you just do it yourself? Boysenberry, we drew our own concept design for the landscape and engaged a landscaper (EcoDesign) to draw up the detailed plans (dimensions, retaining walls, steps, plants etc). @ Orph build thread: viewtopic.php?t=78328 Dream Metricon Glendale 38 (Sydney)!
Ou nice.. we are planning to do the same.. landscaping is expensive isn't it Re: KDRB Metricon Glendale 38 (Sydney) - Fixing stage 1243Dec 04, 2015 6:52 am kylz4 I sat with Metricon yesterday to sign off on variations. Thanks Hi kylz, you should contact your consultant and let him know your missed changes. In our case I could still squeezed in more changes. After pc, you have color, electricals, then contract, then tile, then the final plan. After the final plan they will submit to council. This is in Melbourne, a KDR project. Not sure if it is the same as yours. Hope it helps Re: KDRB Metricon Glendale 38 (Sydney) - Fixing stage 1244Dec 04, 2015 4:52 pm boysenberry2014 kylz4 I sat with Metricon yesterday to sign off on variations. Some of them may be things that I just need to let them know at colour/electrical appointment. One thing I am considering is reducing the ceiling height upgrade from 2.7m to 2.55? It is such a big open home that I don't know if we need that extra height?? It would mean we could make both levels 2.55 for the same cost rather than upstairs being 2.4.... I'm not sure what yesterday was, I don't think it was PC as i heard them mention PC as something to come up so changes should still be ok you would think?
