I know you've had your issues with them but from what we can see it looks like a nice job. Does anyone know what a warranty for concreting looks like? What we have received seems to be a page or two - which doesn't seem like a proper certificate or letter as such noting the warranty. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ The landscaper sent a few emails. ... including an @busive and threatening email. We had just proposed to have the licenced person fix it. He was denying that he cannot not do irrigation work. But we said we want to pay him on the proviso that it is fixed by an appropriate person. We said we want to ensure our insurance is not void... and also per DFT advice on licenses. He emailed then saying he will forgo the last pyt.... because obviously it would be worse for him if it went to DFT. He has breached on a number of counts. He has charged us more than it would have cost a professional di it. we have had to water the grass anyway. Has defeated the purpose of having the irrigation. What a waste of money! I am still alive I haven't been on and just wasn't feeling up to posting!!!! I am feeling heaps better now. Where has this year gone? We are in the last quarter of the year, and there is so much to do still! I wanted to post re our landscaping - the landscaper has not given us the Home Building Compensation Fund Insurance - we asked for it, but he sent a sob story about how DFT will shut his business down if we complained about him. He hasn't given us any proper insurance, and the paper work he emailed is not worth the paper (so to speak) it is written on. These people were very aggressive and we were concerned if he hurts us in anyway. Now that the dust has settled, I think we should follow up with DFT. Anything can happen in 6 years, and say if the property flooded, what does it mean from an insurance perspective? Looking forward to feedback! thanks! If the guys are doing jobs >$20k without HBCF then it's illegal. Especially if their licence conditions don't allow them to do jobs that big. However taking them to DFT is not going to get you the insurance you need. The HBCF insurance can only be taken if they have the appropriate license. I would weigh up taking them to DFT.....with what you are trying to achieve. having gone through it twice it is quite stressful on you as well and like they say they business will probably get shut down. Lots of tradesmen take business over $20k without HBCF and without the appropriate license. It would be very rare for one to turn a big job down. It's very much a case of buyer be aware! viewtopic.php?t=78985 Re: KDRB Metricon Glendale 38 (Sydney) - We are in! 2557Sep 08, 2016 3:14 pm Hi mona, sorry to hear of your ongoing issues these businesses are so disgusting!! We have a gardner who will come look after our gardens - he lays grass etc - he was saying how it hasn't been done properly. We can see there is a bit of a dip on one side and the land has not been levelled properly. We are so over it now. Still dealing with the blinds guys - whilst they seem to listen, it has taken A LOT of back and forth to get these fixed (and still going). Also, M is in the process of doing their fixes - we haven't been satisfied with the person who came and fixed a few things,as he kept denying there were any issues - EVEN though his role is to just fix these issues and it is the inspector who agreed with these. I haven't had the time to go through the list and really need to focus on it!
