Re: Coral Homes Marcoola 32 90May 02, 2015 8:23 pm Hi all, I hope everyone's builds are going well, thank you for all of you kind words and thoughts.I'm going to read through all of your updates that I've missed. So the rain has delayed our build slightly, our PCI is tentatively booked for 12th May( it was planned for 8th May, but it's a busy at work being close to Mothers Day so I asked the SS to postpone it). In all honesty I'll think they'll need the extra days, there is a lot of small things to do, SS said we'll be surprised at how much they'll get done this week. Here are a few long overdue photos. I promise to get some better( more updated photos) over the coming week. We have ordered plantation shutters for our windows and roller blinds for the sliding doors. Our airconditioning went in yesterday, the are a few things that need to be replaced( we were lucky as we were the last to get a construction key), they have to re paint as the painters were supposed to use dulux wash and wear 101 however they used an inferior product, there are a few other things also. Thankfully we have a really good SS. One last photo, my hubby found a brick with a love heart in it(he was helping the brickies sort the bricks out and there it was) he had the brickies place it directly above the front door( hubby's a romantic, he was going to surprise me when we move in, but showed me to cheer me up) Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ The heart is in the centre of the brick and it wraps under. OMG your house looks amazing! PCI is just around the corner - you must be so excited! We also upgraded to Dulux wash n wear for main living area & hallways. I had wondered how we would know if they has used it or not. How can you tell? Re: Coral Homes Marcoola 32 95May 02, 2015 10:01 pm Hi Julie, great to see the updates to you home. We are almost going to PCI and handover together PCI is next Tuesday for us. Colour selections look amazing and also slightly jealous that you got the bath hob we wanted and ordered (it didn't however reach far enough to actually get the water in the bath) Re: Coral Homes Marcoola 32 96May 02, 2015 11:25 pm Hi daydream I knew because of the paint tins, I took a photo and checked with Masters, who confirmed it wasn't Dulux wash and wear, our SS was awesome, he's getting all of the walls painted again with the wash and wear(2 coats) it's a nuisance as all of our light switches ( some are saturn now need to be taken off) Re: Coral Homes Marcoola 32 97May 03, 2015 3:24 am That heart.....Awwww. That is very special hope you always enter your house with a smile!! Re: Coral Homes Marcoola 32 98May 04, 2015 11:09 am Oh Julie, you must be so happy with it - it looks fantastic I LOVE the love heart! How great that your husband found it and got them to put it somewhere you'd see it every day. I want your bath. Everything looks great. Love your media room. Thanks Re: Coral Homes Marcoola 32 100May 04, 2015 10:29 pm Hi Firstbuild92, I'm not sure how much the outdoor kitchen cupboards were they were part of the Inspirations Promotion at the time(resort alfresco package or airconditioning) we upgraded the outdoor sink cost was $457, upgraded to hot water connection cost $154, extended the stone bench by 830mm(making it almost 3 metres long) cost $688. Yeah, we're happy with the media room, I love the exit sign my hubby got it for me last year. Work is full on at the moment, it's hard to find time to go and have a look. I can't wait to see the carpet. Julie Ask the council if there is a chance of getting build over easement exemption. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck. And yes any builder… 2 13769 In Qld it is a requirement that a builder must have a cost breakdown, for building a home to the same specification, with the same inclusions and the same finish. So ask… 1 1799 Ask for references and speak to them. If they are defensive or try to avoid the request, walk. 1 74700 |
