Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jan 22, 2015 2:10 pm Hi all, my hubby and I and 5 fab kiddies are building the Daydream 28 atm. Does anyone have any ideas on how they are going to utilise the ridiculously amazing walk in pantry? Obviously we will use a massive pantry for our tribe but it's soooo much space. Any ideas or pics? Thanks Danni Re: Daydream Pantry storage ideas 2Jan 22, 2015 4:27 pm We are also building the Daydream 28. We've taken out the lowest shelf on the smaller side of the pantry and have put a power point in there for a freezer. Apart from that, we'll use it for pantry stuff. We have three boys so it'll be well utilised. I'll finally be abl to bulk buy properly at Costco! One of the modifications we made was to flip the kitchen and put a benchtop and sink in the pantry. Will also have a bar/drinks fridge under the bench. We plan on keeping a few small appliances on the benchtop that we use all the time. Thanks for your replies. I've checked out your threads, they're great! I'm enjoying hearing all about your adventures. I'll have a look on the general thread build too. Good to know. Re: Daydream Pantry storage ideas 6Feb 27, 2015 9:24 am I have 4 power points in the pantry and use them all. One each for the microwave, toaster, kettle and the blender. You may also want to wall mount a stick vacuum or something like that. I would go overboard on the power points. Looks like a lovely big pantry. Re: Daydream Pantry storage ideas 7Jan 18, 2017 3:11 pm I personally think that you could easily find a lot of uses for your pantry - you could probably stock up on every conceivable kitchen appliance that exists or something! Haha! You'll probably also need a lot of supplies depending on where you stay just in case of a black-out or a flood or bad weather or something. And with 5 kids, I'm pretty sure you'll be able to come up with some ideas about what kind of snacks you're going to want to have in there. I'll just say this - thank God for bulk buying at Costco and Target huh? Basically. If the shelves are fixed then they will be screwed in just the same as the rest of the carcass.
