Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jan 22, 2015 12:52 pm Hi everyone, My wife and I recently bought a house and land package at Greenway Estate marsden park. Our builder is Rawson Homes. We will be having our Electrical and interior color appointments in two weeks. I just wanted to ask a number of questions regarding having these appointments. Anyone else in this forum already finished doing their appointments with Rawson Homes? How much does Rawson charge for extra lights/ downlights? How much do they charge for extra two gang power points? how much is it to upgrade one gang power point to two gang power points? how much do they cash back to remove the carpets (per square metre) ? how much do they charge for getting timber floorings (per square metre) ? for example kempas or black butt? (I got a quote from other flooring companies charging $75 for kempas and $100 for black butt) how much does Rawson charge for upgrading to tiles (per square metre) ? Does anyone have any tips/reccomendations or things to remember when doing the appointments? Any experiences you have had with Rawson or other builders would be greatly appreciated=) Re: rawson build appointment questions 2Jan 22, 2015 3:27 pm From memory power points are around $65 each, downlights about $128. I didn't do any timber flooring but the tiling upgrades are ludicrously expensive, I still had them do it but if I had my time again it'd be the first thing I'd strike out of the contract. http://camdenbuild.blogspot.com.au/ by invite only please pm me Re: rawson build appointment questions 3Jan 23, 2015 12:31 pm Thanks for that robbie. wow thats pretty expensive for additional powerpoints and lights. We may need to really be particular in deciding where to put the additional powerpoints and lighting. We would want to get another company to do the tiling and floorboards as it may be cheaper; but i think rawson does not leave the flooring unfinished. how much did the tiling cost for you per square metre?
