Yeah but he had probably been there since 7am and he is on his own, bricklaying is hard work. He would be doing his own mud up, brick carting, brick laying, with no help. He might work weekends to make up for it. All bricklayers do things differently, what you want is a bricklayer who takes pride in their work, has everything to plan, square and straight. That way walls don't have to ripped down later .... you will be grateful!
Just read my post back and i sounded so awful and i didn't mean to be. He is a lovely man who just lives around the corner from me. We left him with a few beers yesterday to show we were grateful for his hard work. His work does look very neat not that im a brick expert lol
