I did get our back wall rendered after oh said he would have ago himself . He came home to it rendered and I said Surprise ! (Its not that I didnt trust him to do it Lol.) I went and painted it the other day and mum came to keep me company and when I looked she had nearly weeded the whole block . Im proud of my little self getting it all painted and saving money but im sure the wall kept growing longer as i was painting it lol. The block is 756m2 which we feel lucky to have as the block sizes for sale have shrank so much. Re: Building with HGWA 47Apr 07, 2015 11:08 pm kellie_87 Hi Sharry! Posting to follow as we are also building with HGWA Love what you've done with your plan. Thanks Kellie love your plan also Re: Building with HGWA 48Apr 09, 2015 10:25 am Ok Guys i desperately need your help. I'm absolutely rubbish when it comes to choosing colours and i did a silly thing of visiting a new HGWA show home yesterday and im now doubting by colour choices. We haven't signed off on prestart yet so im hoping they will let me change again, although i recon Lana will be getting ready to strangle me lol. Its mainly the stone colour choice im unsure about. I have chosen Polar for the Kitchen, laurdry, en-suits and bathroom as i decided to keep it all the same. The cabinets are Laminex White natural. The wall tiles are white gloss (i know right what a surprise) I have gone for a dark floor tile Charcoal. I haven't decided on the flooring for the main areas yet but im liking the vinyl planks in a light wood colour. I was wondering and let me know what you guys think, that i should change the stone to pearl as i still want to keep the house light and bright but it maybe make it feel a bit more homely and you will not need your sunnys on when you walk in lol Re: Building with HGWA 49Apr 09, 2015 10:40 am If it helps, in the kitchen i went for a jarrah imitation laminate, i have a white tile splash back, white cupboards and i went with the urban caeserstone benchtop http://www.caesarstone.com.au/colour/2040-urban In the bathrooms i went a dark grey tile (see my thread if you want the colour) with the same white cupboards as the kitchen but with a "moose" laminate (its in set 9 in this link) http://www.laminex.com.au/colour-palette.php Ive been told my colours will go well together but im like you, had no idea haha Re: Building with HGWA 50Apr 10, 2015 1:37 pm Thanks for that jlo1990. Love your colour choices. Too say you thought you had no idea you did a fab job. Im still undecided. I keep saying, right im going with that colour then i go oh wait but what that colour aaahhhhh lol Re: Building with HGWA 51Apr 10, 2015 1:51 pm can you put up pictures of the two stone colours your trying to choose between? Re: Building with HGWA 52Apr 10, 2015 7:34 pm I did have photos on my phone but must have deleted them. The colours in the prestart pack look nothing like. To be fair there isnt much difference between them. The Polar is white with really tiny flecks in that you can hardly see and the Pearl is a warmer white with bigger flecks in it. Decisions Decisions lol. I think i will go have another look at them in the prestart showroom. Re: Building with HGWA 53Apr 10, 2015 7:42 pm id go with the showroom the prestart peeps know quite a bit about colours, they might be able to help sway you one way or another. I had a couple of choices in mind when i went in (like bricks!) but the bricks i had chosen looked nothing like what i thought they would in the showroom so i changed Still have plenty of time to make a decision!
