As this is the first and hopefully the last time we need to deal with it, I am just curious about your experience. Have you trusted your builder and just signed the contract without even checking it properly? Is there anything we have to be aware of or careful about? Are these just standard contracts so we don't have to be scared of?? Any other thoughts?? Sorry, we are absolute newbies and never had a building contract in our hands before.... Sharing your experience would be very helpful to us. By the way, we are building in QLD if this makes a difference. But...I wouldn't sign anything I haven't been through at least 5 times. I reviewed mine over 4 months and was then in a position to query and negotiate where possible...which is almost nowhere.
