Browse Forums Building A New House Re: H3nl3y KDR Mont3r3y belle q2 week 28 - handover in 7 da 541Apr 06, 2016 2:07 pm Our ceiling are the standard 2.5 or something like that. I walked in my friends house that is being built and they have 3 meter ceiling and it's a huge difference, especially in the alfresco area. Looks so much more open. What colour splash back did you pick? The funny this is remember how I didn't like mine at first, well I really do now. If I didn't get this color I would have liked white I think. But that might be because I want to brighten everything up. We scored my 135mm spotted gum decking from fowels today for $6 l/m which I'm happy with as we can actually afford to do our decking now and get it done. I'll add it to hubby's list of jobs. We definitely don't love our house but I'm getting used to it. I've learnt a lot for if we ever build again Re: H3nl3y KDR Mont3r3y belle q2 week 28 - handover in 7 da 542Apr 06, 2016 2:43 pm jessicana10 Our ceiling are the standard 2.5 or something like that. I've learnt a lot for if we ever build again We have white overheads, plus whisper white walls, and an osprey bench top, so she felt it needed something a bit warmer to break up the light colours. I really love tiles but hate cleaning grout. My husband is a chef and cooks at very high heat...splashes stuff everywhere so glass works better for us. I second guess all my selections, and the splasback is one of the only things I haven't changed yet!! viewtopic.php?t=81336 Building with MainVue...Modified Ivory 436...our journey Re: H3nl3y KDR Mont3r3y belle q2 week 28 - handover in 7 da 543Apr 06, 2016 2:45 pm Yeah I think that sounds like a good choice. I liked some of the tile splash backs too but was shocked they cost more than the glass so I just kept the glass. I think it's going to look great Re: H3nl3y KDR Mont3r3y belle q2 week 28 - handover in 7 da 544Apr 06, 2016 2:49 pm Thanks Jess, maybe I'll stop stressing about it then viewtopic.php?t=81336 Building with MainVue...Modified Ivory 436...our journey H3nl3y KDR Mont3r3y belle q2 week 28 - handover in 7 days 546Apr 09, 2016 12:28 pm I don't think you should regret not getting an all white kitchen....your colours look lovely! There must be so many post handover jobs to get around to. I'm finding the thought of it overwhelming. I'm trying not to buy too much furniture until I see how ours looks, so ours will certainly look pretty sparse for a while..... viewtopic.php?t=81336 Building with MainVue...Modified Ivory 436...our journey Re: H3nl3y KDR Mont3r3y belle q2 week 28 - handover in 7 da 547May 01, 2016 10:38 am A few more update pics - the side grass looking lush - still need to build a gate near the meter box here Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Other side of the house fence and drainage nearly all done so I can plant soon Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ The spotted gum decking on the to do list Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ The living room coming together - still need to put the tv on the wall Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Front lights connected finally Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: H3nl3y KDR Mont3r3y belle q2 - post handover work 551Jun 12, 2016 8:32 am How are things going now that you have been in for awhile? Still working on the deck. Hubby works full time so and has been interstate so not much has been done in the last few week. I have finished oiling the new fence and got some plants for that side and have planted them since this photo Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ H3nl3y KDR Mont3r3y belle q2 - post handover work 555Oct 01, 2016 7:12 pm Hey Jess, great to hear from you. Hope you love your house now that you're settled. The white paint will definitely brighten things up. Re: H3nl3y KDR Mont3r3y belle q2 - post handover work 559May 02, 2017 10:40 pm Looks good Jess. How did you go with the new paint colour inside? We were lucky in that our old house was so small (86 square metres) compared to the new house, they were able to take enough readings around the old backyard house before… 8 24791 The biggest challenge will be if you take out a loan and then run out of money - you'll have an incomplete security and lenders do not like this so you can get stuck.… 2 13488 Hi, I am looking into doing a KDR in Melbourne and am contemplating using Kialla Homes. I am looking for feedback on them from others who have built with them. 0 8186 |
