There is so much to do. On Thursday they did half the architraves and skirting boards then never came back. They still need to wash outer bricks - do the eaves, down pipes and finish the fixing stage stuff. Plus finishing the plaster in the garage. Think it's time for a walk through with out site supervisor. Feels Like we have been forgotten about. Re: Henley - Monterey Belle Q2 - KDR 203Oct 19, 2015 10:48 am Might be waiting for the plasterers to come back so they dont have to do things twice.. Looking good! I see what you mean.. we are at the same point! We are hopefully seeing some paint this week and tiles next week. Our build - MainVue Amalfi 428 - https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=75482 Re: Henley - Monterey Belle Q2 - KDR 204Oct 20, 2015 10:40 am So we had our first meeting and walk through with the site supervisor. He agreed the bricks look crap around the pillar so they are getting fixed. The bad news is he thinks we are still 8 weeks off being finished due to tradies being behind on jobs so looks like a 2016 finish for us unless something happens and they manage to squeeze it in - not looking too promising though Re: Henley - Monterey Belle Q2 - KDR 205Oct 20, 2015 11:48 am jessicana10 So we had our first meeting and walk through with the site supervisor. Hopefully they pull it together before Christmas for you, would be annoying seeing a nearly finished house sit there over the break My Build Journey - Mainvue Amalfi 530 in South Eastern Melbourne https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=75810&p=1353804&hilit=mainvue+amalfi#p1353804 Re: Henley - Monterey Belle Q2 - KDR 206Oct 20, 2015 5:35 pm *sigh* I found a few more things wrong tonight. They have fixed the corner where the stackers are and replaced the plaster with timber but have not on the windows next to it. They should have a timber cladding between them and not architrave. The pillars come right up to the eaves on our house but they should be two bricks lower and have the pillar sitting on them. I wondered why it didn't look quite right. Both easy fixes I hope. The outside is way behind. Bricks to be fixed, then cleaned. He said render and eaves will be done later near the end when they can fit them In. Re: Henley - Monterey Belle Q2 - KDR 207Oct 20, 2015 5:47 pm Facade's looking quite nice I recon, even with the pillars extended all the way to the eaves. They sound like easy fixes at least. Re: Henley - Monterey Belle Q2 - KDR 208Oct 20, 2015 6:31 pm I agree, I don't even mind if They leave it. It's not much of a difference Re: Henley - Monterey Belle Q2 - KDR 209Oct 20, 2015 9:53 pm Hi jessicana, I notice you have chosen the additional cupboards above the fridge. What are the dimensions of your fridge space or more specifically, the height? I've been shopping around for a new fridge and most decent sized ones are at least 1700mm high. However with the cupboards above the fridge, I am worried this will encroach on the cavity for the fridge and limit the height. Cheers Yowie Re: Henley - Monterey Belle Q2 - KDR 210Oct 20, 2015 10:02 pm I have no idea, Next time I'm up there I'll measure it. We need a new fridge as our current one the door opens the wrong way and we can't change the door as it has a water dispenser in it. They are not full depth cupboards either. There is a void behind them Re: Henley - Monterey Belle Q2 - KDR 211Oct 21, 2015 9:09 am So i measured the fridge space. The height is 183cm from the slab so take some cm off to allow for flooring. The depth is 83cm from inside the skirting board and width is 103cm between skirting boards Re: Henley - Monterey Belle Q2 - KDR 213Oct 21, 2015 10:01 pm Thanks for checking. The dimensions seem quite decent and has given me some reassurance. For some reason my administrator is telling me that our height is 1614mm and 700mm deep. Seems a bit off the mark Re: Henley - Monterey Belle Q2 - KDR 214Oct 22, 2015 6:32 am We have standard ceiling height too. What did you pick to go in the fridge space? We have a pretty small cupboard, maybe the other cupboards or wine rack are bigger? We also had our water point put in the pantry so it didn't take up any fridge cavity space. For some reason my administrator is telling me that our height is 1614mm and 700mm deep. Seems a bit off the mark At the tender appointment, He said theirs no problem with the height and if its below the required he said we can ask them to comeback and fix it. but i told him i want 1800mm. will see. by the way make sure you guys tell the width you want bcoz the width is set on the plans are from stud to stud so you wil lose some mm off. I'm glad that we asked bcoz initial width in the plan was 1000mm width and he checked and said final width is 850mm. I said i want atleaset 950mm. He rotate the studs their so our final width will be almost 950mm. Our fridge cavity depth and height 700mm and 1800mm. cheers Re: Henley - Monterey Belle Q2 - KDR 216Oct 22, 2015 7:34 pm jessicana10 We have standard ceiling height too. We also had our water point put in the pantry so it didn't take up any fridge cavity space. I will also have standard ceiling heights @ 2570mm and selected the option to provide double laminate cupboards above the fridge for $440. Unfortunately it doesn't specify anywhere how big the cupboards will be. I'm hoping they will be the same size as yours! Re: Henley - Monterey Belle Q2 - KDR 217Oct 22, 2015 8:51 pm Yeah pretty sure that what we got. No one on site again today. So frustrating to see nothing happening when there is so much to be done. An entire week wasted pretty much. Henley - Monterey Belle Q2 - KDR 218Oct 23, 2015 8:38 pm So we got floor tiles down today. The tiler did a really good job, especially in the shower bases but...... Our ensuite tiles are laid in the wrong direction I don't know what to do now Ensuite floor. They were supposed to run the other direction as they go up the bath hob as well and one wall of the shower. Now I don't know if they will do the bath hob horizontal or not. I'm not overly happy with them but don't hate them either (I wrote a separate thread about finishes) Some tiles don't line up. They are white tiles and by the time they are grouted I doubt you will even tell.
