Hi All, we are building with plantation homes and wanted to get your opinion on our site costs.
Our Soil tests done 2ce have come back H1-P
P due to uncontrolled fill and large tree at the front of the property that can influence the slab.
our slab is 115sqm
Costs
Provide reinforced concrete slab with FFL to Engineer's detail for Soil Classification Type "H1-P" (Waffle
Void Former System) $6400
Provide concrete piering of footings and slab founded into firm natural ground, due to disturbed
natural ground on site $10500
The tree is on council land and is 18m high, 6m radius drip line - council does not want to remove it!

The other question is - do you think I need a root barrier system to protect my house from the ginormous tree! or is the heavy piering enough?
