Was out first time so we needed the help. I didn't want to give them my business either and made it known, I said it really loud haha So went to imported, took us awhile to get served because people do take long with the staff member they have but their selections are modern and a variety. Oops mine was European Aswell that I got bad service from not imported! Same thing with me said sorry I have to take this important call and was chatting away to her son about what's for dinner! Same thing with me said sorry I have to take this important call and was chatting away to her son about what's for dinner! I was fairly happy with imported, we only have European, imported and Crosby tiles on our selection list and Crosby I just found mostly outdated and not modern. Our tiles are all finished now. I am really happy with their service. except one tile is being taken out and a new one placed down as the cut was odd. But one tile out of them all, we are happy. Skirting boards have been going down the past 2 days, he should be finished tomorrow. Skirting is amazing, his work is flawless and has made our floor tiles look amazing! Skirting boards are worth every dollar spent I think! What colour are your walls? I have totally had a mind blank! I'm at the house tomorrow so I will have a check for you and get back to you. I love the colour as I wanted a really light grey but I honestly probably would of went a shade or two darker. Building our first home - viewtopic.php?f=31&t=75306 Cara and Matt's First Build - Baldivis 93Apr 14, 2015 11:26 pm jlo1990 Looks great Cara! Do you mind me asking how much you paid for your skirting? We are paying $2450 including GST for 'Bevelled' skirting by Skirting Innovations. Honestly so worth it, I love the look of it on the tiles so much more now! We were going to have a go at doing skirting ourselves but when we found out the price we just went ahead with it. His cuts are beautiful and he gives you about 6 different skirtings to choose from. Building our first home - viewtopic.php?f=31&t=75306 Re: Cara and Matt's First Build - Baldivis 94Apr 14, 2015 11:50 pm That's looking great Cara!!!! Those tiles are similar to the ones we are leaning towards and we are also getting skirting. We have a quote from skirting boards WA at about the same price. I will just end up c hosing the company that will fit the nicest looking skirting at the end of the day Re: Cara and Matt's First Build - Baldivis 95Apr 15, 2015 1:01 am Those tiles look great . They seem to have good job . I have porcelain tiles too . Had a few issues on the laying of them . Which I had spent a bit more money maybe I would of got a better outcome . But live and learn . Rugs do great in covering things lol . Having tile shop come in a help me work out how to clean them properly .i think I have wax still on them but don't have the money to get them buffed at the moment . I bet you can't wait to get in. Re: Cara and Matt's First Build - Baldivis 96Apr 15, 2015 11:38 am Thanks! Yeah I want something really light like white but not, and as we will have white door frames and white skirting I want it to be the right colour to make them 'pop' against the paint. And I love your skirting boards! It really finishes the house haha! Did you do them for the bed rooms too? Did you just give them your house plan and they estimated price from there? He gives you about 6 different finishes to choose from so has a good range. Melsie68 Those tiles look great . They seem to have good job . I have porcelain tiles too . Had a few issues on the laying of them We had 4 tiles we weren't happy with, they just rushed too much but they fixed it the very next morning without drama and now we are happy. I brought a steam mop so I'm just going to use that and see how I go. I have heard enjo is great on porcelain tiles otherwise I have read vinegar, windex and water is great. archetto Thanks! Yeah I want something really light like white but not, and as we will have white door frames and white skirting I want it to be the right colour to make them 'pop' against the paint. I checked the colour for you. It's Valspar 'Amish Lace' IssyandOzzy Wow cars we're going for tiles too! And I love your skirting boards! It really finishes the house haha! Did you do them for the bed rooms too? Did you just give them your house plan and they estimated price from there? Yes we did the bedrooms too. We got a quote with and a quote without. Originally we were just going to get the tiled areas but I figured we may as well get the carpeted rooms done as vacuuming is much easier with skirting boards. Sent away my plans to them and they gave us a quote on that. The only place we don't have skirting is to the linen and the kitchen kickboards. I will take some more photos today or when I get a chance to clean the floors. Hopefully he's finished skirting today Building our first home - viewtopic.php?f=31&t=75306 Re: Cara and Matt's First Build - Baldivis 99Apr 15, 2015 2:15 pm Thank you!
