Nice color too. How did you go with the poured limestone around the pool? Have you decided on a contractor yet? Can't wait to see how it looks when finish Our Redink build: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=81681 Re: Cara and Matt's First Build - Baldivis 485Jan 29, 2016 6:22 pm It looks big but it's only 7m X 3.1. I love the colour, it's a medium blue with glitter throughout. Haven't found a contractor yet, we liked one companies work but they were slack at responding and wouldn't actually come out to quote which turned me off. Pics now it's in, plumber comes Tuesday, then electrician is booked in after that then handover shortly after then we should have a running pool Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Our dream home viewtopic.php?t=75306 Building our first home - viewtopic.php?f=31&t=75306 Re: Cara and Matt's First Build - Baldivis 486Jan 29, 2016 8:13 pm Wow envying... Did you looked at all pool companies? We looked at 4 pool companies. Really impressed with the boys that did the bob cat work. They knew what they were talking about and worked fast. The sales process was fantastic too. Your little boy looks ecstatic haha First Build, Commodore Homes, Honeywood, Wandi. viewtopic.php?t=77170 Re: Cara and Matt's First Build - Baldivis 492Jan 30, 2016 6:49 pm It will be exciting once the handover is all done!! Hopefully should be done by the end of the week. We started the deck today! Thankfully partner is a carpenter. Not getting the decking though until next time we are home just because we want to prioritise getting the pool area flooring done. It's so big! I'm not sure if we need the second alfresco now but I like the idea of lots of outdoor space and we have plenty of lawn space for the kids. I thought the fence needs to be in as soon as the pool goes in? I thought the fence needs to be in as soon as the pool goes in? We have a temporary fence. They allow in the contract for us to have the fence for 3 months, we can extend it but by that time we are hoping to have our fencing up. What wood are you using on the deck? How handy are carpenter partners haha Our build thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=70984 Re: Cara and Matt's First Build - Baldivis 500Feb 02, 2016 11:31 am Thanks Gilbert, will keep in mind for when we do get some quotes. Funds are tight at the moment. Archetto, we are using Eco Decking. I didn't want the hassle of having to oil the deck, nails showing and chance of splinters. Eco is just maintainence free although does cost more than jarrah or merabu.
