Re: Building with Redink Homes 183Jun 30, 2015 6:17 pm MalSannie Oh my gosh congratulations on being signed Not long now!! Thanks MalSannie However it has not moved past this very much We had our earthworks completed almost 2 weeks ago with a slab to be scheduled at first a week ago but delayed apparently due to bad weather, although it didn't rain then, but it did when they were doing the earthwork. Go figure! It was supposed to be down by today, but after finally calling them and questioning why nothing has been done, we found out that the concreter and plumber were double booked, and now it will not get done until Monday 6th. So disappointed and I am starting to lose any trust in RedInk I am really hoping they pick up their game. It has been almost 5 months since Prestart (9th Feb), and after delay after a delay in prestart I was hoping for something else once we got to construction. Really hoping things start to look up. Re: Building with Redink Homes 184Jul 06, 2015 7:06 am We had 7 months between prestart and slab so I know what you mean But hang in there, once things start to move they seem to keep more or less on track! Fingers crossed for slab tomorrow Re: Building with Redink Homes 185Jul 06, 2015 11:25 pm MalSannie We had 7 months between prestart and slab so I know what you mean But hang in there, once things start to move they seem to keep more or less on track! Fingers crossed for slab tomorrow Wow MelSannie 7 months! Clearly you are a lot more patient than I am Saw the plumbers there today doing the plumbing prelay, so slab must be around the corner. Now we just need the weather to be kind to us! Nothing better than seeing some progress! Building with Redink Homes 186Jul 15, 2015 1:14 pm Slab is down! Was so happy when I went to the block and saw they had laid it. However I got a bit concerned when I saw a plumbing pipe where our island will be. We do not have a sink or a cooktop on our island bench. Does anyone know what this would be or have they made a mistake? Our outside supervisor went out yesterday and he said the same thing. We are waiting till we get an email with the mistakes from him before we contact RedInk, but I have already hit panic button :/ Re: Building with Redink Homes 187Jul 15, 2015 1:23 pm Conslabulations!! Have you got any electrics in your island at all? If you have it may well be a conduit for that. That's exactly what happened in ours now we've had the electric run ins done. You can see the cable coming down the wall on one side and into a conduit and then it pops up in the middle of where the island will be. I was just catching up on your build nikkis when I saw your message. I thought of that, but we didn't put any electrics on the island, unless they have decided to include it for us free of charge Lets hope it is that, at least to calm me down so i don't call them. My DH has told me I am not allowed to call them, and to leave all communication to him, as I am not very patient and I want things done yesterday. Re: Building with Redink Homes 191Jul 21, 2015 7:05 am Fantastic news MIMN - congratulations on being slabbed ! We have a pipe meant for the kitchen in the robe of a bedroom We've been told it is easily fixable though so hopefully it'll all be sorted when the plumbers are on site as they said it would be. Next stop - bricks - how exciting!! Re: Building with Redink Homes 192Jul 24, 2015 8:43 pm Thanks guys! I am very excited! Was wanting to take photos but our slab is covered with sand so there is not much to take a photo of. As soon as they do a site clean I will pop something on.
