Today we did receive the quote for some retaining for planters and our conversation pit........ Wow I did not realise that retaining is so expensive. If we manage to find the $$$, it would mean that the basic earth works and layout of the garden is almost completed. Might need a glass of wine to look at all the figures Re: Our house in the middle of the street _ Splash of green! 191Oct 18, 2015 10:38 pm Isn't it crazy the amount of money they charge for retaining. That's why we did it ourselves it saved so much coin. I can't say my back and arms loved me after it but our bank account certainly did Re: Our house in the middle of the street _ Splash of green! 192Oct 19, 2015 8:32 am Tribe7 Isn't it crazy the amount of money they charge for retaining. I don’t believe we want to start this project ourselves, we will be visiting our families over Christmas and want to have these retainers sorted before we leave. Upon return “all” we need to do is break and enrich the soil, lay some paths, lay turf and plant some trees and scrubs. Re: Our house in the middle of the street _ Splash of green! 193Oct 19, 2015 10:23 am I can completely understand that, it's seriously hard work and very time consuming. I seem to spend every free moment I have outside digging. I'm feeling a bit that way about lawn it will save us a bundle to lay ourselves but the time and labour isn't appealing. This is rediculous. I'm sorry your still waiting. I think its time to start asking questions. Are you still just waiting for splashback- maybe ring the company they are sourcing it from and see where its at?! Re: Our house in the middle of the street _ Splash of green! 199Nov 02, 2015 7:12 pm I hope this week is the week DD! Re: Our house in the middle of the street _ Splash of green! 200Nov 06, 2015 7:16 am Hi all, We are at least a few weeks of handover..... We were not to happy how our bricks looked after cleaning. Our independent inspector did agree on this matter, same as boral. So part of the brick work is redone and other parts are repaired. We are hoping to be in as soon as possible, since we are going to Europe over Christmas. It is all getting a bit too much now. Our Bondi Greenwall was impressive from day one with advanced lush plants to provide a wow factor to this recently renovated living area. The boundary was less than 1… 0 15308 Hi all. I'm thinking of installing an electric gate in front of this street front villa (link below). The gate would be between the bush on the left and the letter box on… 0 2778 Thanks! I'm spoke to the builder I'm not sure if this is all true but basically went along the lines of they considered all options and if I was to compact and fill it… 2 7309 |
