So far so good, only few small hiccups. Fingers crossed, the weather keeps like this. Re: Mojo Homes 1105Sep 19, 2017 6:18 pm Nice S3. When we both finish we can have an audi mojo photo shoot Hope they get their ducks in a row for you, the roof/hebel staging with scaffold on our job has really hurt the programme! Our SS grant is no longer on the project so hopefully someone picks it up with some go in them! Come on you good thing! Re: Mojo Homes 1106Sep 19, 2017 7:02 pm Haha thanks, that's if I still have it! Pretty keen to move the S3 on actually... the last couple of years have been a bit of a saga. Old mate was out sticking up the metal rails for the hebel today so hopefully see the bottom level done by end of week. I should text my SS and see what's up. Re: Mojo Homes 1107Sep 20, 2017 8:14 pm Our SS told us that if we want updates, we need to call him. Does everyone have the same experience? What about schedules of the building progress? Our house is being built, no complaints there, but getting any info from our SS is literally impossible. Re: Mojo Homes 1108Sep 21, 2017 6:04 am In the beginning with grant i would call him every wednesday to get an update. The last 6 weeks was near impossible to contact him. Infact he has never even responded to a single email in 3 months.. As of yesterday we have been assigned a new SS. I fear that their workload will be too much. But I'm happy to ride that if i get some spurts of productivity and communication. Mojo has been very transparent with things so im not too miffed at the moment. These things happen in our industry. Particularly with SS, they get worn out pretty quick or poached by other companies.. I have been given a verbal programme 2nd wednesday of what he had lined up. But no proper schedule. In the industry we call in a 2 weekly look ahead. I think they should be doing this via portal or email, as the client and being our home we would love to be as informed as possible. It also means we can back off a little instead of calling and emailing because we arent being told anything.. I would tell my SS there's no point BSing. If you cant get labour or youve been to busy just tell me and i will shutup... which a couple of times hes put his hand up.and gone that way... So to answer your question No, we have never been given a dated schedule.. we do have a portal to check milestones but that can be off. I havent had any updates since august 2nd... but i know electrical rough in is completed. so this is all to do with SS moving on.... Re: Mojo Homes 1109Sep 21, 2017 10:18 am Thank you Ja-mez Looks like we are all on the same boat then. My progress I think, is going well tough. The L1 plumbing has gone in and scaffold has been erected yesterday. So like I said, progress is happening with the house, just the info is not coming in . Cheers Re: Mojo Homes 1110Sep 23, 2017 9:35 am Ok, so this is my second build and during the first build I contacted the SS maybe 4 or 5 times during the entire 9 month process. To be honest, if I was a tradie or even an SS, I would find it a royal pain in the bum for someone to be calling or messaging me once a week for an update. Maybe let the SS breath a bit, you might find you get more out of them. "The Castle" has received some attention this week; All rough ins now complete 100%!!! Frame straightening well underway. Nearly complete. Scaffold partially dismantled.. hooray!! Think they just ran out of time given how the site looked.. Roof is finally water Tight!! Has been a mission and a half for Mojo to get roofers back. Because they don't do alot of Colorbond it didn't help..... As the old spanish saying goes a new broom sweeps well.. Really impressed with my new SS's approach, knowledge and work ethic. Has got right into the build and already rectified some long standing issues from previous SS. All in a week. Great to see some visual progress... Looking forward to pre lining next week and tiling soon there after.. Keep up the good work Mojo! Glad to see progress. Our site was at stand still this week, but we should have some action after long weekend. Frame straightening? What is that all about? It appears to be rectified properly and of good quality. Mojo addressed it early, it just took a while for the chippie to get to it as he does this whilst on site for eaves. Which he is still waiting for roofing to remove fall protection from lower alfresco roof. Chippie Didn't hold up any trades so no issue this far. True test will be once sheeted... booked for next Monday! All Scaffold has been removed from site!! All gutter downpipes fitted off today as well!! Pre lining inspection booked for Thursday. Insulation for Friday Gyprock starts Monday as long as all is good this week. I imagine external painting can continue soon enough! Went past the site and no trades on a Monday a few weeks before practical completion!! Spoke to the SS and he says all mojo jobs have had tile delays! That is not saying much about their planing process when I selected my tiles almost a year ago!! Anyone else facing delays with tiles/PC items (bath, WC) Re: Mojo Homes 1118Oct 09, 2017 7:49 pm Nabrolkellyville Building in Kellyville Ridge and the last theee weeks has only seen delays because of backorders on tiles and PC items.
