Was down there today checking out the area with mum in the car, as she wanted to see where our neighbours over the road (Collette and Graeme) are going to build and move to.
Oh, have your neighbours already purchased a block or still looking?

It cost us a bit more, but looks far better than just infills. Oh, have your neighbours already purchased a block or still looking? Spoke to them last week, and they said that it is right where they are looking at to build their new home. Very nice people, so you will like them. Just a shame it wasn't the other neighbours that were going instead. Owner Building at Jimboomba Woods in Logan City Qld. As far as I can tell the only major things left to do is tile the bathrooms and paint (we are doing the rest of the flooring after handover). So surely we are getting close, just not sure HOW close. The walls are all Hog Bristle Half and I want a nice warm white to match up. Was thinking 'White Polar Quarter'. I think polar white is a bit cooler, but whisper white has a tiny bit of warmth to it? Thanks Ilaeria, will eliminate polar white as I definitely want a warm white. Ill have a look at whisper white Re: First Home Build - QLD - Dixon Homes (Brumby House) 535Aug 28, 2015 2:42 pm We also went whisper white for skirtings, architraves, doors & even the walls in the bathroom & laundry. We ended up going with whisper white for the skirting and architraves (thanks everyone for your suggestions) and the wall colour is Hogs Bristle half. Photos to follow when I visit tomorrow. Our builder will not allow us to have our flooring installed until after handover, which means the skirting is lightly tacked on so we can easily remove it to have the flooring installed. This also means that once the floors are in, we have a house full of skirting to paint! NOT looking forward to that at all! SIGH Months ago I requested that our handles not be installed in the kitchen and was told that this would incur an extra cost, so I didn't act on it and decided to just settle with the handles that would be supplied. Now, months later, all our cabinetry has been installed and guess what - NO HANDLES. Kind of a win lose situation, I got what I wanted for no charge, but now I have an extra cost which I haven't factored into my budget. Having just booked and EOY trip to America - money is tight and handles add up! Oh well, at least they will be pretty... Im hoping that next week we will have a tiler. I don't know what else is left to do after the tiles are laid and all the fixings are installed. We are at enclosed stage - how long did everyone have to wait for handover from enclosed? I'm interested to know! Our SS said he would less us know roughly two weeks in advance but doesn't think we are that close yet We also found out that our site had been broken into! As had the rest of the sites in our estate. Luckily nothing was damaged in our home, thieves must have been disappointed as there isn't anything to steal lol. Police have been out to print etc Re: First Home Build - QLD - Dixon Homes (Brumby House) 537Sep 04, 2015 3:24 pm Bonnie_p bpratt We got the bricks done above our windows, but they require steel lintels to go above the window. I went down that way today to say hello to them, and to 'spy' on your place. Looks like you've got a little bit of dirt to play with from your septic system or is that the other Dixon home ? REALLY happy with the paint job! they've already marked slight imperfections and are rectifying today. We had our paint rolled on rather than sprayed. All the skirting and architraves will be whisper white, they only have an undercoat at the moment. Will all be finished off today. Hooray! Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ .
