MoragaJagga COLORBOND Help with wall render & garage door colour 2Jan 05, 2015 7:13 am Shale Grey for me. It doesn't have as much glare and look so white as Surf mist, especially with colours so dark, however depends on the look you are after. If you want sharp chrisp definition use Surf Mist If you want contrast without the edge use Shale grey Also, and this is purely my opinion, durn mist on walls tends to look dirtier quicker. Also take a drive through a new estate there will be lots of examples of the colours on display, look for the garage doors. Re: COLORBOND Help with wall render & garage door colour 3Jan 05, 2015 9:34 am We have a colour called Grand Piano - I think - on walls - looks nice. If you mean garage door - I'd go darker. Then match it to front fence/gate - if you have them. Hi i would definitely go with a darker garage door if your colour brick is a lighter colour as in the picture and you have a lighter roof it will all blend in too much unless you go with the lighter brick and garage door but then go with a darker roof either way but don't go with light brick, light roof and light door it wouldn't look good. Cheers Building the Sheffield 25 + 2 sq Re: COLORBOND Help with wall render & garage door colour 5Jan 05, 2015 7:11 pm Thanks all! The photo does make it all look blended. The roof and gutters we have chosen, being Dune, will be a slightly darker colour taupe tones (not the same as the photo) and the ironstone fascia gives a great contrast. I meant to say garage door (*oops, not garage) and wall render. Is there another colour that is a warm grey? We will then need to choose a colourbond to go with render as well as Dune and Ironstone. Our fences will be timber gates at side of house and stained to match the timber posts in the front facade ....the side fences (behind front side gates) and rear of block will be timber and pool fencing, and in light/mid grey (so that the garden stands out and the fence blends behind) Such a hard decision - and one that we're stuck with for a long time! Great suggestion to drive around new estates. Up there (being so hot) they all seem to go for light colours to detract heat. Thanks for your feedback MoragaJagga Re: COLORBOND Help with wall render & garage door colour 7Jan 05, 2015 10:16 pm Good Point - thanks. Forgot to mention our windows are "ultra silver gloss" (bradnams). MoragaJagga Thank you again Simeon.. I will call my certifier for that. Have a good day 4 5194 I am looking for someone who might have tackled a similar issue as me. I have a few rendered interior walls, the surface condition is hardly flat. I can see all the bumps… 0 7965 |
